«We stopped for a night during a long drive home with a rescue dog we had picked up just hours before. The staff were immediately welcoming; kind and friendly. "We were a family of six travelling and we had invited our daughters and their husbands for a long weekend in The Lakes. We made a mistake ordering standard rooms and it was disappointing that we were given a tiny room as the paying part. I guess that’s our fault. Location is perfect with free parking, the staff are amazingly friendly and the breakfast first class. The place needs a good clean and shine up. The garden and exterior looked as though they had been forgotten for the current season. We will revisit but advise all to not book the cheapest room. The next level up were considerably larger and better and we will be booking those next time. "
