«Room was nice and clean and as a family of 5 it was nice to be all in one room.
Unfortunately the room was above the kitchen and it was boiling most of the night. The hotel gave us fans and we had the windows open but didn’t help much.
Staff were nice and the breakfast was good and included in the price of the room.»

«I loved staying in a property that was so old and yet had been made so comfortable. It was a shame that one of the curtains had broken hooks as it drew the eye but the view from our windows more than made up for it. The evening meals were delicious. Location was perfect for us being equidistant to Grasmere and Keswick. Maybe some sachets of decaf coffee?»
«Friendly staff including one who formerly and by sheer coincidence worked at the good old boarding school I proudly attended years ago. Overall, I’m extremely impressed with everything including the high standards location and amenities. Cleanliness were very good apart from some surfaces needed a little dusting and one of the bedroom lamps didn’t work though again, overall the standards are extremely high and I’d certainly recommend future guests and I’d certainly return.»
