«We loved staying here! The room was perfect and it’s located right by the pool! The pictures are very accurate. We rented a car so it made coming and going easy. Others reviewed that they didn’t like it being outside of town, but when we visited the town we were thrilled with our location at Casa de MoalBoal. The town is very cramped and dirty, so it was lovely coming home to a fresh, clean, and relaxing atmosphere.
The free breakfast was always good. We also snorkeled just out front. »

«Our stay at the Backyard Inn was nothing short of a nightmare. The experience felt like actually sleeping outside with the chickens. The pod smelled of chicken waste, the sink didn’t drain, and the noise was unbearable—constant chicken noises, roosters crowing, and no peace or quiet to rest. We couldn’t wait to leave.
The only saving grace was the staff, who were friendly and helpful, but that does not make up for the dreadful conditions. I would never stay here again. Avoid this place unless ...

«They supply earplugs. This is good for light sleepers. There is a yard with at least 20 roosters close to the back of the property. They start long before sunrise and go into the night. There are also 3 different locals nearby doing very loud karaoke and you can hear them all at the same time. Filipinos LOVE their karaoke. Otherwise, everything about this place is perfect. We absolutely loved our stay here. »

«The owner is super friendly, the staff too. The place is very quiet and you'll enjoy a stay from the touristic hustle of Moalboal, which remains very accessible of you got a motorbike or just choose to move around with buses.
Cottages are very clean and perfectly furnished, with a great fan on the roof to keep the place fresh. You'll enjoy the many birds around singing in the morning for a a quiet and ernergizing stay.»

«The hotel is new, the room is clean and in nice condition. The only negative about the room, is that it doesnt come with a duvet, only a small blanket to sleep with. The hostess is super friendly and the laundry service is great. The property is nice, but should have some sunbeds by the pool. There are animal sounds from early hours. It is only 15 minutes to walk to the area of Panagsama beach. The hotel has electric bicycles you cab borrow for free, which is great. We have travelled for 2,5 ...

"The hotel is quite dated and the room we got was quite dirty. You're not really getting what you're paying for here. We highlighted the key issues to the reception and ask that we'd cancel our stay and refund us at least a portion of the stay, but they refused.
The key issues are really:
- Beds are rock hard, literally like laying on hard floors.
- The back wall of our room was dirty with a massive brown/dark stain across the wall.
- The bathroom was dated and not well cleaned.
The restaurant staff are very nice and service minded, but the menu is limited and food average at best, you'll get a much better meal for half the price in town.
The pool area is decent, and it looks like a great place to go scuba diving."
