An unexpected destination during my trip to Laos. I ended up visiting Kong Lor Cave, located in the small village of Kong Lor, in central Laos. We entered the pitch black cave on a very basic long boat and a torch on our heads. You exit on the other side of the cave to a beautiful, lush green scenery where buffalos rest in the water, butterflies fill the air, and there's a perfect quietness.

Finding your way to the spring of this small river paddling a small wooden boat is sometimes a challenge since old trees are lying across the stream. #River

The room was listed with AC but clearly this is an error. Check-in instructions on Expedia are nonexistent, and necessary, especially if arriving by bus as there is no phone signal in the area. The food is ok (you are a bit of a captive market there) but expect a lot to be missing from the menu. ...
