Welcome to Joiku, completed in October 2024. As one of the larger villas, this space features a clean design, high ceilings, and glass walls that bring the beauty of Lapland indoors. Located beside the iconic Ylläs swing and Äkäslompolo lake, it’s an ideal spot for Northern Lights viewing. In winter, ski tracks pass by, and the village’s shops and services are just a short walk away, offering both natural beauty and convenience for a memorable holiday experience.

This spacious, well-positioned villa within Joiku Resort stands out with its generous layout and refined design, crafted with high-quality materials like dark wood and granite-inspired ceramics. As one of the larger villas, it provides an inviting atmosphere tailored for comfort and social gatherings, making it an ideal retreat in Lapland.


Living & Kitchen Area

The ground floor features a bright, open-plan kitchen and living area, complete with high ceilings and expansive windows that flood the space with natural light. The kitchen balances style and function, offering ample storage, integrated appliances including a premium coffee machine and bean grinder, a high-end induction hob, and a breakfast cupboard tucked out of sight. The full-width terrace invites you to step outside and unwind, especially after a refreshing sauna.

With the bath and sauna facilities also on the ground floor, guests can easily access the terrace for cooling down or enjoy a dip in the nearby lake.


Sleeping Arrangements - 3 Spacious Bedrooms

Each of the villa’s three large bedrooms is equipped with a super king-size bed (180 cm x 200 cm), ensuring restful nights. All rooms are enhanced by walk-in wardrobes and additional storage areas, providing plenty of space for a comfortable stay.

Built with energy efficiency in mind, the villa features a water-air heat pump and solar technology, providing a sustainable and environmentally friendly experience.


Location

Set in the charming village of Äkäslompolo, near Yllästunturi Ski Resort, the villa is conveniently connected by bus routes to Kittilä Airport and Kolari train station, making it easy to explore Lapland’s scenic surroundings.


Private Beach Sauna Experience

Beginning January-February 2025, guests can book a private beach sauna on the lakefront. This setup includes a Drop Design jacuzzi by the lake, allowing you to move between the sauna, an icy lake dip, or a warm jacuzzi soak—perfect for immersing yourself in Lapland’s winter landscape.

Please note that resort extension work is ongoing next door. While heavy construction noise is not expected, there may be occasional daytime activity. We’re committed to keeping any disruption minimal, ensuring a pleasant and relaxing stay.

The villa is exclusively yours, without interruption during your stay, so relax, unwind, and make yourself at home.

Other than the already mentioned amenities, our home is also equipped with fast Wi-Fi, underfloor heating, and a washing machine

The nearby Ylläs Swing offers panoramic lake and mountain views, which you can also enjoy through the villa`s large windows. For hiking and biking enthusiasts, trails from the Ylläs-Pallas National Park begin on the eastern side of the lake.
