Basically, for the price and what is advertised; This is an excellent place.
-Secluded, at the very end of a mountainous road.
-Jungle experience.
-Insane view of the ocean, from atop a cliff, that you can enjoy from your own hammock.
-Cheap eating and drinking.
-Extremely good snorkeling, if you climb down the steep stairs/footpath to the ocean.
-The dive site 'King Kong' is theoretically a few meters away and you can see over to Shark Island (and other dive sites).
-This is the true Koh Tao experience, not how the main stretch has become.
In my few days stay, I'v encountered;
-Squirrels (they even stole some cookies in my room)
-Crabs (they might lurk in your 'bathroom', which by the way; is outside)
-Geckos/lizards (>40cm)
-Snakes
-Dogs (2 residents) and a bird that speaks to you.
+bugs (spiders and mosquitos mainly, but it's the same situation all over the island)
NB! Bad(!) road access, far from the 'action', no wifi nor mobile coverage in the rooms (only in restaurant), rooms not cleaned every day.
