Excellent stay at Milky Bay
Milky Bay was excellent! We had the Deluxe studio right on the beach with unhindered views of the sea. 6 seconds walk to the pool or to the sunchairs. The beach itself isn't much for swimming as it is too shallow (my impression was that this applies to most of Koh Phangan but especially the south-western side) but it was great for sunbathing and the pool does wonders as well. The restaurant is good, although more expensive than the local options in the surrounding area. If you do get the Deluxe Studio on the beach, be aware that there is a bar right next to it. They usually stopped playing music at 1am and didn't bother us too much but this could easily be annoying to some people. I'd therefore recommend asking for the Studio on the second floor (we had ground floor), as this probably is a bit more sheltered from the noise. Our only regret was accepting an upgrade-offer to their Summer Luxury Resort for the last night of our stay. Albeit a beautiful resort with a stunning pool and great restaurant, we had booked Milky Bay due to the view and apartment/suite. At Summer Luxury we got an ordinary room with no view, which was rather disappointing. All in all, we had a fantastic stay at Milky Bay!

Hotellet ligger fint til ved at man er rett ved en strand. Men man er et stykke unna alt annet. De små bungaloene var veldig små å trange. Vi fikk ikke engang åpent koffertene våre. Og badene var ganske ekle med masse firfisler. Men de store var veldig fine. Vi fikk opplevd begge siden air condition ikke funket i den lille.

Deilig med avkjølende basseng som alternativ til den langgrunne varme sjøen. Velg et oppgradert rom, bedre komfort og renere. Fint og ryddig område med volleyball og bortennis og biljard. Egen massør på hotellet. Masete muzakfunkjazz står på hele tiden over hele uteområdet.

Kjempeflott hotel!
Supert hotel med ok standar på bungalowene. Fellesområdene var kjempe flotte, og restauranten hadde veldig god mat. Servicen er kjempe god, hadde noe problemer med aircondition en av nettene og da fikk vi en ny bungalow og morningen etter var alt fikset. Anbefaler dette hotellet på det sterkeste!

For en rimelig penge får du et rent fint rom med strand, pool god mat og god service. Betjeningen er mer en villige til å tilrettelegge for aktiviteter og går langt for at du skal få et godt opphold på hotellet.

Vi hadde et flott opphold på Milky Bay. Fantastisk avslappet og behagelig stemning på resorten, og personalet var hyggelige og serviceinnstilte. Kjempegod mat på restauranten. Det var veldig langgrunt, så det var ikke noe særlig å svømme i havet.

Vi likte oss veldig godt. Veldig rolig og avslappende. Fint basseng og stranda omtrent rett utenfor døra. Idyll! Litt langt fra Thongsala, men koster ikke mye med buss og tar bare 5-10 min. God service.

Close to perfect
Vi ankom Milky bay en dag før vår ordinære ankomst og ble tatt godt i mot. Vi skjønte at de ble litt satt ut av at vi kom tidligere, uanmeldt. Men vi skjønte grunnen da vi neste dag måtte bytte rom. De var opptatt av at det nye rommet vi skulle ha var det som var planlagt for oss. Dette rommet var himmelen. God air-condition, fint/rent bad, gratis safe og kjøleskap. Servicen til de ansatte var topp! Vi var der lav sesong så de ansatte tok seg god tid til oss. De spilte biljard med oss, skravlet, tok en øl og fortalte historier om de lokale. Slikt er gull verdt! Hotellet er behjelpelige med alle tjenester. Boksing av dagsturer, scooterleie og klesvask. Alle disse tingene ble booket gjennom hotellet med gode resultater. Dagsturer var super hyggelig, scooteren var deilig å ha tilgjengelig og klærne våre kom nyvasket og brettet tilbake. Maten på hotellet er også kjempe god og til en god pris. Alt i alt; veldig fornøyde gjester som gjerne kommer igjen..... Og igjen.... Og igjen...:)

Super hyggelig atmosfære
Veldig hyggelig sted som absolutt kan anbefales både for venner på tur, par og familier. Veldig hyggelig personale og supergod mat i restauranten. 'Hytter' i flere størrelser og med ulik beliggenhet i en skyggelagt "jungel" litt tilbaketrukket fra stranden. Vi hadde en liten bungalow, som funker bedre for et kjærestepar enn venner, men funket helt fint (be om separate senger). Stranden var dessverre ikke synlig pga høyvann når vi var der i desember. Beliggenheten er bra i forhold til utflukter og full moon, men strendene lenger opp (Haad Yao, Had Salad) funker bedre for familie og dykking.

My wife and me liked the restaurant, the staff there is very nice and the food is good. The hotel room itself was clean but it badly needs renovation. The holder for the shower head was loose and you had to hold the head in your hand while showering. There was no soap to wash your hands and the air conditioning hadn't been serviced in a long time. It cooled but not really much. There was a white powder applied to one spot on the bed sheet, which I had to brush off before going to sleep. Given the price and the number of stars, I expect something better.

The bathroom facilities are terrible. Showering would trip the electricity and I’d be in the dark until maintenance could get it back on. A part of the resort near where I was situated was under construction so hearing grinding and people walking around the room all morning isn’t my idea of leisure. The pizza from the restaurant was 5 star pizza which was a real positive about the place.

We came hoping for a quiet getaway and we couldn't have asked for a better place to do this than Milky Bay Resort on Koh Phangan. Even though this property is set back not far from the main road, it is so quiet and right on the beach. We could see the beautiful calm beachview from our room. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The free breakfast choices were wonderful as well as the menu for lunch and dinner right there at the resort. The pool was so clean and the water a perfect temperature for cooling down. A few feet from the registration is a place you can rent scooters to easily take yourself around to see the rest of the island. Peaceful! Wonderful! We hope to return.

Nice peaceful stay at Milky Bay. The bed was super comfortable and it was a nice touch to have glass water bottles in the room as well as a refillable water station. The staff were very attentive. The views out to sea on a sunny day are beautiful. The bungalows need a small lick of paint and the window latches readjusting then I would say it’s pretty much 10/10. Breakfast was ok - would’ve liked a better selection of fruit or the opportunity to help yourself to more butter/jam.

We loved everything about Milky Bay Resort! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room good size, clean and quiet. Breakfast was great with many choice. Delicious dinner options too! Pool was a bonus after hot days of walking. Can't say enough good things about Milky Bay!

I found Milky Bay Resort purely from reading the reviews and I wasn’t disappointed at all. The hotel staff welcomed me with open arms from the moment I arrived and made me feel special and relaxed and were so polite and courteous throughout my stay. The hotel is situated right on the beach in a beautiful & tranquil setting and the views of the ocean and surrounding islands are amazing. I booked a superior room and each morning sat on my terrace/balcony and just gazed at the beach and ocean which was literally 20 metres from my room. The girls that clean the rooms are fantastic and do an amazing job each day. The restaurant which serves all day from breakfast to evening Dinner is exceptionally clean with plenty of staff on hand and all so polite and welcoming every meal I had there. Special thanks to Yu, Go and Ta-Ta who were always full of smiles and polite and made eating as a solo traveller more enjoyable for me. The food here is amazing and that is evident by the amount of people who choose to eat here. The chefs do an excellent job of cooking some amazing dishes throughout the day. I originally booked for 3 nights here but I extended by staying a few more nights as I didn’t want to leave. The hotel is classed as a 3 star but on my experience I would say they deserve 4 stars most definitely. I would most certainly recommend this hotel for an excellent place to stay on the beautiful island of Koh Phangan. Would I return again ? Most definitely. Thanks to all the staff.

Gute Lage, nette Anlage. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Leider dreckig, z.B. Poolwasser oder unsere Matratze. Und technisch nicht mehr alles in Ordnung, z.B. kaum Wasserdruck beim Duschen, oder es regnete in unser Zimmer rein.

Bien, aunque un poco sobrevalorado, en mi opinión.
Habitaciones muy espaciosas y bastante cómodas, pero las terrazas y el jardín no pueden tener menos encanto. Pocas tumbonas en la piscina y la playa y prácticamente todas para cambiar. La playa no es de las mejores, con a marea baja te cubre por la rodilla y gracias, y con muchas algas. El personal, todo, fantástico, y las habitaciones también muy bien, con detalles con mucho encanto. Aunque no hubo un solo días que no encontráramos dos o tres ciempiés dentro de la habitación.

Sehr schönes Resort direkt am Strand!
Sehr schöne Anlage direkt am Strand mit kostenlosen Billard und Tischtennis. Das Restaurant serviert sehr gutes Essen und die Bedienung ist humorvoll und kompetent. Ebenfalls ist das Personal an der Rezeption sehr hilfsbereit und auch der Waschservice hat super funktioniert. Gleich nebenan befindet sich ein Supermarkt
