We did not stay. We entered, examined the house and decided to eat the cost and pay for a hotel. This home looks better in the photographs. There was some unaddressed damage to windows and cabinets, and the rear entry door could not be secured satisfactorily to ensure safety from intruders. In short, it looks like a quick remodel job to an older home, where some things like old doors, cracked windows and years of dust were never addressed before listing.

The heat was horrid. Woke up every night with it at 60 degrees though it was set to 75 to try to get it to warm up. Not ideal with a 5 month old baby.

Great location

My family stopped In for the night on our way home to Ohio from Florida. The location was perfect, just being 10 min from the highway. The house is so charming! The house could use a spring cleaning and the patio furniture needs a good scrubbing but I would defiantly stay at the home again

Great Home

This home was perfect for our family. We were attending an event in Knoxville for the weekend and the location of this home was just a hop and skip from the UT Campus. Our main concern was room for our family and with 4 bedrooms and 4 beds, this home was perfect for us!

Nice quiet roomy stay not far from UTK

The house sleeps 8 comfortably. There are 4 bedrooms with full-size and queen-size beds, as well as 2.5 bathrooms. The hosts were responsive to messages. It is about 15 minutes from campus, but close to a few restaurants and a grocery. It was very peaceful and quiet.

Nice but needs a little help

It was a decent stay with a few snags here and there. The house overall needs a pretty big deep clean, and the property also did not feel set up for new guests coming in with an abundance of trash piled up outside and linens still in the washing machine.

Setup to be a rental

This property was great for our Thanksgiving. We had 8 adults for the meal and enjoyed the open living room/dining room/kitchen setup. Everything was clean and comfortable. It was obvious that this property was setup as a rental because the kitchen equipment(spoons, etc) were not complete and the furniture did not match. THE DRIVEWAY IS DIFFICULT TO FIND WHEN ARRIVING AT NIGHT. We put lighted decorations at the entrance so our guests could find it for our Thanksgiving meal.

Visit my son that goes to UTK

After traveling in severe weather conditions and arriving to the home having no power the host was very understanding and accommodating. The house is in a nice peaceful residential setting not far from UTK , downtown Knoxville & not too far from Gatlinburg. The home itself is very roomy and can accommodate 8 people very comfortably. Although we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor space due to the weather it looked great . Maybe the next time we come we can ! We definitely plan to be back😉

Good place for price

This place is a standard “get what you pay for”. For the price, it had everything we needed. However, it wasn’t very clean, couch is broken, some remotes don’t work, water pressure spurted. Lots of landlord special repairs. I would recommend everyone check all bed sheets to make sure they are clean. One bed hadn’t been changed, but our family staying there didn’t notice until we were checking out. The neighborhood was excellent, lovely, quiet and very safe and nice. Great place and views on walks too! If you don’t mind the little things, it’s a great stay for a good price.

Cute, but in desperate need of a deep clean.

The property is very cute. A pretty little house nestled in a nice part of town, but you can tell that this house has been only a rental for a long time. The whole property badly needs a deep clean and a fresh coat of paint. Countertops were clean, sheets and dishes were clean, but everything else just had a layer of grime. The walls and floors were filthy and stained, the outdoor furniture was disgusting, the kitchen chairs and bedframes were squeaky and wobbly, none of the bathrooms had working soap dispensers or even soap. It was fine, we only stayed for a night, but the house really needs some TLC.

Before reserving this property I reached out to the owner because I was concerned with the many reviews that talked about lack of cleanliness and that the house needs a deep clean. The owner assured me that all of the issues in the reviews had been addressed, sadly this was a lie,the house is still in need of a very deep clean. when we arrived the house smelled very musty. The first thing we did was go and buy cleaning supplies. large amount of dead bugs all over the window sills, cobwebs, stuff splattered on the walls and kitchen cabinets. One of the bathroom tubs is in really rough shape, it looks disgusting, wouldn't drain, and the shower head was awful, the toilet paper holder was broken. The washing machine was disgusting with black mold. There was a load of towels in the dryer that was still warm, so someone had been there the day we arrived, but they only seem to do the bare minimum when it comes to cleaning. The kitchen faucet is awful. The refrigerator barely kept things cold. One of the things I was excited about with this house was the deck space, I was looking forward to us spending a lot of time out there and having a cook out or two.The decks were a FILTHY MESS, broken deck furniture, grill was disgusting, some of the outside furniture had mold/mildew. It's really sad because with some love this house has so much potential. I contacted the owner and offered to send pics/videos via email but her email address didn't come through and she stopped responding to me.

Gameday

Overall the house was perfect for what we needed it for. Visiting Knoxville for a game day and just needed something affordable within driving distance. The location was great. Short drive to campus and some pretty neat looking houses in the drive in. One of the bathrooms could use a little upgrading but the master was pretty nice. Only con of the trip was not being able to communicate with the property owner. I had a couple questions about checking out and got no response. The trash can was already over flowing with trash when we got there and I hated not really being able to fit our one bag of trash in the can. Rather than leaving it on the street I ended up taking it with me and throwing it in a dumpster somewhere. The house was pretty unique and in good shape. I would definitely stay there again in the future.

worst VRBO ever

The house had beds people just crawled out of, and one with no sheets whatsoever. There were crumbs and food all over. There was mildewed, wet laundry in the washer with mold on the washer. The owner of the property offered to let us stay at another property, which was sub prime to what this property should have been. There was black mold on the seal around the tub, and more cobwebs on side covered porch than I have ever seen, The owner also promised to reimburse me $100 for the inconvenience and never did. When I contacted VRBO three different times, they never contacted me back with a resolution either. I am very disappointed in both VRBO and the owner of this property. I wish I was able to post the pics I have, as then one could truly understand how frustrating this was and not anything near what I was led to believe I was renting
