«Good food and comfortable room»

«Yes, these rooms are above a pub but you can’t hear any noise. The appointments were like that of a luxury hotel. The staff worked behind the bar at the pub for the most part and they were extremely responsive to any request. Not sure many tourists find their way to this particular town, but if you’re anywhere near Scarborough, this is the place to stay.»

«Lovely junior garden room with a very nice view! Very cosy and dog friendly! Super food served and the staff especially Jane & Lauren were so lovely and gave super service! Would highly recommend staying or dining here!»

«The room was great, but a lot of traffic noise. Not for light sleepers... In general a great hotel in a great area with great parking. It's outside the city center and the views are amazing.»

«Det var mitt andre opphold. I fjor hadde jeg rom nr. 2. Det var et fint rom med vinduer. I år hadde jeg rom 4. Det hadde ikke vinduer til å se ut av. Det var grusomt. Badet var ok.»

«Nice place..a little tricky to find. Service first night good great breakfast...2nd night and breakfast not as professional. Disappointing provision of toiletries....only enough for 1 first night and NONE 2nd night.....just the hand wash!!! Comfortable bed and spacious room with good thoughtful provision of everything else.»

«Utrolig fin Pub, med nydelige Hotel etter. Personlig service. God mat. Hjelpsomme hyggelige folk. Vi reiste med tog og tok bussen til puben ca 8km. Bussholdeplass rett ved. Vi likte oss så godt at vi kjøpte en ekstra natt på stedet.»

«Very pleasant stay, I have stayed a few times and always very good. On this one-off occasion the draft had stopped working but the staff tried their very best to offer other solutions which were appreciated. Thank you»

«Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location in the middle of the North York Moors National Park. The room was very clean, the linen of high quality and the bed was very comfortable. All the amenities worked. The rooms are above the pub so there was some chatter and music. This wasn’t a problem for me. The breakfast was delicious. I would stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.»
