Accommodating up to two guests, this cosy getaway is located just 6 miles from the vibrant market town of Kirkby Stephen in Cumbria. It's a great choice for those who appreciate scenic landscapes, quaint villages, local food markets, and historic sites. The surrounding area is teeming with outdoor activities, from picturesque hikes to cycling and horseback riding along country lanes. Just 3 miles away, Ravenstonedale provides family-friendly amenities such as a playground and a welcoming country inn. For a day of exploration, visit the nearby Pendragon Castle (4.5 miles), rich with King Arthur's legend, or head to Smardale Gill Nature Reserve (6 miles), where you can spot birds and butterflies along a former railway line with a stunning viaduct – ideal for capturing lasting holiday memories.
Walking in through the ornate front door you are welcomed into the open-plan kitchen/diner – the real hub of this retreat. It’s a lovely sociable space to cook and dine together with a stylish, well-equipped kitchen for cooking up dishes in and a two-seater farmhouse-style table for dining together. Enjoy evenings watching your favourite show infront of the cosy woodburner from the plush sofas on the Smart TV. Next door the bedroom beckons, with a king-sized bed and plenty of storage, with skylights and original beams overhead. The lovely bathroom is the perfect place to soak away the day's events or to start the morning refreshed.
Outside to the front, there is a shared patio with seating and a Victorian garden to enjoy, along with ample walks to the fells from the doorstep. Sit outside to dine alfresco with enchanting views all around. Parking is available for one car and can be found just outside the gates.
