Room was very nice, clean and comfortable. En-suite was a little dated however still nice and clean with good shower pressure and hot water. Very quiet surrounding area made for a peaceful nights sleep. Check-in and check-out was quick and efficient with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast and parking was £13 extra, however for an extra £3 per person a full english was available a minutes drive down the road which was very reasonable. Overall a decent and recommended night’s stay.

Wouldn't stay again a bit like a youth hostel. Told had room upgrade it was very small only window ceiling velux. Don't know what other room would have been like if this was an upgrade !

Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was small in relation to the room but overall okay - a few extra touches such as better toiletries would make the room that little bit nicer and feel less like a budget hotel. The continental breakfast was sufficient - people with dietary requirements may struggle unless informing the hotel in advance. I enjoyed the barista made coffee in the morning. Sadly Wi-Fi in the room was really poor but it’s unlikely you’ll be in your room for long periods of time considering the beautiful surroundings.

There was a family staying there for a week with a new born baby and a toddler The baby was crying at 1 o clock in the morning and first thing in the morning the toddler was stamping around and the parents slammed the doors shut Above all that someone was bagging on the wall because of the noise absolute nightmare The sheets were soiled i realised this when I moved the sheets the next day for the cleaner

Everything was perfectly fine. The location was amazing, close to everything. The breakfast had a range of choices despite no hot food. The room was clean, the service was great. Quiet and relaxing.

Last minute decision to book somewhere and this came up fabulous location for the lakes, beautiful surroundings and the lodge was imaculate.

Nice friendly comfortable stay. Upgrade option available at the very nice Kings Head Inn about a 5 minute walk down the road. Good value as well

Paid for a king size bed, only recieved a double which was very uncomfortable and says pet friendly but charges you extra for the privilage when you get there

Lovely short stay 😊
Flexible on check in as we were after 9.30pm which was great! There was no info on breakfast times on the website or booking confirmation so I had paid for it, but had to leave the hotel before breakfast had started.

Pleasant room, large tv, clean room. No issue with breakfast. Nice friendly staff. Bed was a little hard, bathroom light went out, couldn’t work heating button and was stuck on hot.

Not very good room
Everything was good but the room was small and no window in the room just a sky light where all we could see was the sky and no one came to top up the tea things or the toiletries Continental breakfast was very basic and not a lot of choice

Modern with great views
Views were amazing, location was great. Very modern, almost had a hostel feel to it. It would have been nice to have extra touches to make it feel more homely. Shower smelt a bit like a drain. Staff were very helpful, and it’s a great place to go for walks. Just two things to mention- it’s a cafe onsite (that is open til 9) rather than a bar/ restaurant, and they only serve a continental breakfast, if you want a full English you have to go to a sister hotel down the road, pay extra and they are very strict on times.

Dogs friendly lodge. I do appreciate people in the UK treat their dogs as families. We saw a lot of friendly dogs in the lodge. What a great experience. The breakfast is nice and the receptionist is enthusing to deliver help.

Très décevant comme séjour. L'insonorisation est POURRIE (style feuille de carton) et les deux nuits nous sommes en plus tombé sur des fêtards qui profitent du fait qu'il n'y a pas d'employé la nuit pour se promener partout dans le lobby et corridor en faisant claquer les portes. Le matelas serait dû pour être changé, on ressentait tous les ressorts.. Bref, le seul point positif est le magnifique paysage entourant le lodge et le très bon petit-déjeuner (par contre on doit payer, non inclus).

Great experience spoilt by one member of staff
Beautiful place, clean, location was excellent. To be honest, only thing which spoilt it was the woman in the coffee shop. Very abrupt, following day she started showing attitude to my friend who stayed elsewhere and came to collect me and stayed for a coffee. Amazing how an experience can be spoilt by one individual. Very hard faced, not sure where she was from but not English.

hotel stay was okay staff were friendly our room had a leaking shower, the bathroom radiator didn`t work at all. it was clean and tidy we had to use the pub up road for meals and a cooked breakfast as they only provide a continental onsite
