Our room was not very clean, hadn’t been vacuumed & sheets, towels, pillows & mattress were extremely worn out. Room didn’t receive fresh towels after request to get some. We had to go find some ourselves. Breakfast was tasty but incredibly slow. Wouldn’t stay again.

We spent 2 nights at the Old Registtry which is perfectly situated on the Main Street of Haworth and a great location for exploring the area. We stayed in the Tudor room. The photos make it slightly more glamorous than it is but nonetheless, a clean, good sized room. Due to the age of the building, everything is a little creaky. Tea and coffee facilities provided including decaffeinated option. TV in the room but unable to log into Netflix or Amazon due to buffering so you are limited to terrestrial channels. The room was on the same side as the main road but wasn’t too noisy. We had breakfast which was good however only one member of staff taking orders and serving. This didn’t delay breakfast coming out but did mean several tables were left with dirty plates on throughout our meal. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but we did attempt to have a drink in the bar. Unfortunately, although the bar is stocked, they don’t have a license so we were unable to purchase alcohol. The staff were very kind to direct us to alternative venues but the weather was horrendous. We’re not big drinkers so we didn’t mind. The staff offered us tea and coffee which we accepted and spent a pleasant evening in the bar area playing board games. One thing is there’s no parking outside so you’ll need to find off street or paid parking nearby. All together a decent stay and I’m sure once they get the bar up and running, this will improve the venue.

We stayed in the Lavender room at the top of the house. It's reached by narrow, windy stairs so be careful! Beautiful spacious room, plenty of storage. The ensuite had both a roll top bath and a separate shower plus a chaise longue! The room was clean but in our opinion, lacked a couple of things like tissues and bottles of water. There was plenty of tea and coffee but no decaf t bags. The pillows leave a lot to be desired as do the towels which were only just absorbent. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice for cooked but could use some pastries if you don't want that. Would we stay again? Yes. Parking is permit only outside the hotel so is on nearby streets for guests which may be an issue in the rain.

The room was clean enough however everywhere needs refurbishing. It’s look very tired. We stayed 2 nights for £280. The second night we got back late. We were disappointed the bed hadn’t been made and no clean towels. We didn’t bother ringing anyone as it was 940 and we were tired. It’s in a good location. The lady was extremely friendly and the best thing about the stay was the breakfast. Everything was quality. We had full English and there was cereal and yoghurts too. We stayed on a Monday so there was no bar or food being served. It’s only on a weekend.

There were several negative reviews of this place that I had just seen after having a proper look. After experiencing my own stay, I was puzzled as to why this place had such good reviews and why these negative points seemed to have been overlooked. This place couldn’t provide even basic customer service. I emailed them a month before my stay to ask about parking and other information, but I received no reply at all. The check-in process was almost non-existent. I was simply faced with a key left to the side and a note with instructions, which were not particularly clear. There was also no information about how to pay for my room, even though I was supposed to pay upon arrival. On the wall, there were around five mobile numbers to call if you had a problem. In total, including the numbers on their website and the instructions in the room, this company has more than seven different phone numbers. By the time I had called most of the numbers, I eventually got through to the last number on the list. It is quite appalling in this day and age. There is no point in listing so many numbers if nobody answers them. The corridor outside our room was very dark and could have done with brighter light bulbs. We had to use the torch on our mobile phones to lock and unlock the door. The key to our room was also horrible to use. It was an old-fashioned key system and was difficult to lock and unlock. The room itself was okay and looked as it did on the website, but the toilet was anoth

This is not a 4 star hotel, it’s a small B&B. there is a bar but only open on weekends, overall needs a lot of repairs and cleaning

Good location for Brontë world and bus stop etc . Friendly staff Property looks grubby, dirty carpets , dirty furniture , not enough towels for two night stay Dirty cushions on bed Hygiene seemed poor I would say furniture more second hand than vintage/ antique , noise travelling between rooms Wouldn’t stay there again

This is a lovely venue in the heart of Howarth with great access to the local amenities. The accommodation is clean and beautifully presented and the staff and attentive and helpful. Our stay included breakfast which was excellent. Parking is a problem overnight but this is the only issue and did not spoil what was an excellent stay overall.

Booked at the last minute due to work commitments, attempted to call property but no answer. On arrival, the main door was open, there were numbers to contact. I tried them and finally got through to someone who told me to knock on the owners door - I didn’t have a clue. Luckily a passer by helped. Another family were in the same position, were unable to check in as no one present. Checked in, and was given a key and no instructions re checkout. Upon entering the room, it looked nice. However, I noticed that there was food pieces on the floor by the bed, biscoff wrappers that had been left behind. The bed itself had small little insects on - probably due to the window being open on arrival and said food. The room was OK - however the floorboards were extremely creaky. The bathroom door lock was hanging off which was shame. The bathroom was lovely! There was a sheet provided with numbers on to contact - however, after my experience checking in I didn’t feel comfortable ringing them. Check out is 10:30 and was easy. I was asked why I didn’t come down for breakfast - however on the sheet in the room it said that breakfast needed to be reserved… despite this. The hotel is in a good location, on street parking is available.

Booked for two nights b & b. No one around initially at our arrival but very quickly let in by someone and our room key with instructions for finding our room were provided Room on 2nd floor and was beautiful. Big en suite, everything you could need. Comfortable bed, generous drink making facilities in room. Couldn’t connect to wifi on 2nd floor. Could as we went lower down in the building. En suite toilet was saniflo system so quite loud briefly when flushed. Breakfast fabulous quality, dining room beautiful in keeping with age of building and dining room was transformed on the night to the Slow kitchen bistro which we ate at one night and was excellent.

We had a wonderful stay. The accommodation is located at the bottom of the high street so shops are within easy walking distance, as is the Brontë museum. There is also parking available at the pub opposite for a small fee which was very handy. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. We hope to return again soon.

On the second night of my stay the temperature in my room was unacceptably low by 8.30-9pm.The radiators in the room and bathroom were cold. The thermostatic valves were fully on. The landing and stairwell outside my room and the bar/restaurant area downstairs were all pleasantly warm. Seeking some help, I rang the bell in reception 4 times in the space of 10 minutes. Nobody appeared and it became apparent that there were no staff present in the building. In desperation, I rang the front door video doorbell and "Leanne" answered saying that she was not at the house and would come back. By the time I had climbed back to my room, effectively on the 3rd floor under the roof, there was a text message on my phone saying that she was 25 minutes away "at a family occasion....there is a heater at the top of the staircase behind the bannister - failing that I can ask my neighbour to come round...." I eventually found the heater. It had 2 broken feet and could not have stood up on its own. I put the feet back underneath the heater and switched it on. I texted back that the room was beginning to heat up. I turned the heater off when I went to bed. Ironically, the next morning the radiators slowly began to warm up although the room was still chilly requiring the extra heater to be turned on again. Also the matress on the bed was very saggy and uncomfortable. Despite emailing them 3 days ago I have had neither acknowledgment of my email, explanation of the issue nor an apology.

Arrived at 14:15 on a Sunday, The Hotel was closed, we had received no information by phone or E-mail. after several phone calls a lady who was on leave called me back to give me the pass code to enter the building and there was a key on the desk to let ourselves in, she said they were short staffed, more like non staffed!. On entering the room it wasn't the one that we were sent a picture of when booking, it looked outdated , the carpet was grubby, the tiles in the shower had mould over the grouting. We went into the dining area and all the breakfast items were left out and uncovered. We left the premises to eat and ended up driving 4 miles away as everywhere local was booked up. We went back to the Hotel around 4:30 and there were still no staff in sight, bar was closed. we decided to go home so collected our belongings and left. really disappointed as the hotel looked lovely on the pictures. Poor communication, outdated room and no staff to be seen, would not recommend!
