The Space:

Welcome to our charming Moroccan-inspired apartment, a serene oasis that will transport you to another world. Our apartment features a queen-sized bed, perfect for couples, solo travelers, or small groups looking for a peaceful retreat. You'll find plenty of storage space for your belongings, so you can unpack and feel at home right away.



The decor in our apartment is inspired by the vibrant colors and patterns of Moroccan design, with beautiful textiles and intricate details that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. You'll love spending time on our meditation and yoga deck, a serene space perfect for quiet contemplation or a morning yoga practice.



For those who enjoy dining al fresco, our apartment also features a full outdoor dining area where you can enjoy meals while surrounded by lush greenery and fresh air. You can also take advantage of our stocked kitchen, complete with everything you need to prepare delicious meals at home. If you are missing anything, please message us.



Plenty of windows fill our apartment with natural light, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. You'll have access to WiFi and streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon, and Disney +, so you can relax and unwind with your favorite shows and movies.

We have air conditioning, but it is rarely needed. We are up the mountain at a higher elevation, approximately a 6-minute drive from Kahaluʻu Beach Park. We have high powered adjustable ceiling fans and there is a cool breeze throughout the house. Temperatures sit in the 70s during the day and down to 60s at night for a restful sleep. In comparison, Kailua-Kona is usually in the high 70s to 90s.



Construction notice — October 2026 only: We are building an additional unit on the property shared by Casa Grateful and Casa Gratitude. Renovation work is scheduled for October 2026 only. Please contact us with any questions about how the work may affect your stay.

When you book your stay with us, you'll have access to a full private apartment that's all yours to enjoy. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, featuring all the amenities you need to feel at home during your stay. Whether you're traveling solo or with a small group, our apartment has plenty of space to accommodate your needs.



One of the highlights of our apartment is the large patio lanai that offers a great space to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather of the area. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening while taking in the serene surroundings.



We also offer plenty of parking space for our guests, so you can rest assured that your vehicle will be safe and secure during your stay. Additionally, our guests have access to a shared grassy backyard space, which is a great spot to enjoy a picnic or simply lounge in the sun.

Getting Around:

Nestled in the heart of Kealakekua, our apartment offers you easy access to some of the best attractions and activities that the area has to offer. Located just a quick 1-2 minute drive up the hill from the town center, you'll find plenty of options for shopping, dining, and entertainment. If you prefer to walk, the Korner Pocket is within walking distance, where you can enjoy a refreshing drink, a game of pool, and some great company.



One of the best things about the neighborhood is that there is plenty of street parking available, so you don't have to worry about finding a spot for your car. The area is safe and quiet, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii.



Other Things to Note:

A pack and play and children's toys are available upon request as needed. Please message us to arrange them. We do not provide a highchair.



Kahaluʻu Beach Park is approximately a 6-minute drive from the apartment. Here, you can snorkel, surf, body board, and swim to your heart's content, enjoying the crystal-clear waters and stunning natural scenery.



For those who are interested in learning to surf, your host Brad is a highly experienced surfer and offers private surf lessons to our guests. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced surfer looking to improve your skills, Brad can offer personalized instruction tailored to your needs and abilities. Please inquire in advance if you're interested in taking surf lessons during your stay.
