«Cute location and very helpful staff but not well maintained or cleaned. We upgraded from a room to the farmhouse and it’s cute but not very clean or well maintained. One of the doors had a chunk of wood that fell off and in the morning light you could see dog tracks on the floor. We swept the place ourselves because there was detritus on the floor. «The cottage is immaculate and decorated in a very pleasant manner that fits the Julian vibe. When I had questions, the host answered them quickly. All appliances are new, the kitchen and bath have both been very recently remodeled with attractive finishes. Very pleasant ambiance. My only cautionary note is that when booked thru VRBO, my credit card was charged a very large damage deposit upfront along with the cost of the stay. Perhaps that could be reconsidered. »
