Overall it was good. They do not provide bottled water in the room but they do provide the filtered water in glass bottles. The problem is that the guests cannot assure the cleanliness of that filtered water. I understand that the hotel is aiming the eco-friendly but good clean drinking water should be provided.

Hotel itself was great. Clean room, nice staff, check in and check out was very smooth. Would not recommend getting taxi pre-booked from hotel, ended up being much longer to find and wait then getting an available cab upon arrival and costs more (we thought it would be simple and easier when arriving tired but no one around with our name and it took a really long time to locate pick up spot with no instructions given). Would also not recommend massage. It was nice to be in room, but we booked couple and it was hard to relax because the two giving massage kept talking to each other and giggling (we could not understand). We did not try the food, but received a free lychee juice as a welcome drink which was nice. Good location with lots of traffic.

Nice but need to improve
An overall average experience. The property itself is pleasant, yet the hotel service leaves something to be desired. The WiFi frequently disconnects, and there seems to be a delay in the hotel staff's response to requests for assistance with luggage or in-room drinking water. At times, it feels as though requests are inadvertently overlooked.

Preis-Leistung ist super. Ein schönes Hotel, funktionell eingerichtet. Eine Eigenart gibt es jedoch. In den Gängen läuft 24 Std. eine Art Aufzugmusik, die man in den Zimmern noch hören kann. Vor allem beim Einschlafen oder beim Versuch noch ein wenig weiter zu schlafen, kann es störend sein.

This is my 2nd stay for this Novotel Cikini. The 1st time was not so good as I was given a room with a strong sewage smell. Decided to give a 2nd chance coz the 1st stay was pretty good as the room was upgraded to a bigger room and buffet breakfast was good. I was given a last corner room facing an emergency exit door when I checked in the evening during the 2nd visit. The card key was not functioning properly and the power was cut off and on. It was so scary that I was alone in the room in darkness for several times. Technician came and used a plastic card and left. Again, power came off and on several times. I took my luggage and went to reception for a room change. Got another room. It was better with no issue on the power but the wall mural drawings of a man gives an eerie vibe. Perhaps it was the scary incident earlier when I was in total darkness & stale air in the corner room that made me feel that way. The toilet was another issue. It has a strong sewage smell when you turned on the shower. After that, the smell will go off, not sure whether i got used to the smell. hahaha.... The water will flood the floor in the shower room and then it will slowly subside. Imagine you stepping in the puddle of soap & shampoo water while bathing. Didn't change the room for the next 3 days. Still bearable for the toilet. Anyway, this will be my last visit for this hotel.

Godt centralt hotel
En nat ved gennemrejse til Bali. Centralt placeret, vi spadserede til national monument.45 min kørsel til lufthavn med weekend trafik Lille men god pool. Obs at hotellet ser alle over 5 som voksen, så hotels havde booket et værelse til os som vi ikke kunne være i. Men receptionen var flinke og vi fandt ud af det.

This was my second time to stay here. Last July the hotel was okay. Nowadays, the hotel got run down. After we've arrived to the hotel we've noticed the furniture become old and seemed unmaintained. The Aircon wasn't working well in the building. We've tried and changed 4 rooms and all were the same very hot, as if there were no Aircon working at all, which made me to take the decision to leave the hotel that night and move to a decent one. Sadly one of my worst experience ever!

Rooms and common areas need some needed updates. In particular the bathrooms. There was visible mold in the bathrooms, something a little bleach or mold remover, and caulking could easily fix. The third floor smells. Maybe because it is right above the kitchen. Staff are very attentive however. I received very good customer service. The breakfast is generous though the layout of the food is not very convenient and you have to visit several stations to get all your breakfast needs. The location is nice. Very safe to walk and close enough to restaurants and shopping.

Frustrating hotel. Staff excellent and friendly, but badly run. Guests are required to pay a deposit if they want to add room or restaurant services to their bill. Even if they have a key card. The breakfast buffet is chaotic. Not helped by the challenging restaurant layout, but more staff needed when the hotel is busy. The worst aspect was the piped music in the corridors that can be heard in the rooms, particularly in the middle of the night while trying to sleep. You can’t hear the music, just the annoying bass beats to encourage insomnia. The main point of a hotel is to sleep, this one doesn’t want you to!
