Beachside with Billiard Room & Beach Cruisers!

The Ruby Sea Turtle is a newly renovated Family Friendly 3 Bedroom 2 Bath Home located blocks from the Atlantic Ocean in North Jacksonville Beach. We provide a clean, comfortable, and private beach experience for all of our guests. Sleeping arrangements can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people. After a long day at the beach, come back and relax in front of the 70inch TV or challenge a friend to a game of pool!

So why The Ruby Sea Turtle?
Founded in 1884 by the Scull family, Jacksonville Beach was first known as Ruby Beach. William E. and Eleanor Scull were the first family to settle the area, working a post office and general store while living in tents on the beach with their two children, "Ruby" and Bessie. What began as a small, nearly unpopulated, nineteenth-century outpost on the route between Mayport and St. Augustine eventually grew into the thriving and lively Jacksonville Beach we know today. With our love for local history and wildlife, we decided to name the house after a combination of the historical Ruby Beach and the beautiful Sea Turtles that nest along our shores.

Cozy and clean!

Came for a short stay to enjoy the beach with our kids. They had a great time playing pool, loved all the cozy details of the home. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. Perfect location for quick drive or bike ride to the beach, quiet neighborhood. We would definitely come stay again!

Perfect size for a family of 5

We went for a soccer tournament at the Patton Park. Perfect location, also near the pier and restaurants. We made the right move renting this nice house.

Great stay

This was a great property. The billiard room was a great plus in bad weather and the bikes and proximity to the beach were a hit when the weather improved. Property owner was very responsive, we will definitely stay here again!

A perfect place to stay in Jax Beach!

A really great house in a quiet, nice neighborhood. Very accommodating hosts who provide everything you need and more. I get to Jacksonville often and will always look to see if this house is available.

Cozy House Close to Beach

The house was very cozy and clean. It was a very short drive to the beach and centrally located to some very good nearby restaurants. The bikes were a great added feature. The only suggestions that I might make are a table large enough for 6 people to sit at and enjoy meals inside and some wine glasses. Other than that, our stay was fabulous.

JAX TRIP

THE PLACE WAS JUST AS PICTURED AND DESCRIBED IN VRBO. MY ADULT CHILDREN STAYED THERE WHILE VISITING THE AREA. LOCATION WAS PERFECT AND THEY ESPECIALLY ENJOYED THE POOL TABLE.

Such a great place !

This was a great place. Clean and quiet. My daughter her boyfriend and myself stayed here from Friday to Sunday. We enjoyed playing pool and then went to a concert downtown on Saturday night. This house has everything you need !! Close to everything. Even provided coffee !!!!!! If I am ever in Jacksonville again I will be staying here ! 10/10

Clean and Quiet

Located in a quiet neighborhood with lots of attention to detail. We had easy access to grocery shops and the beach. An incredible bakery is within walking distance for a morning treat. It's very clear that this house is loved and cared for by Thomas and Katie. I appreciated the print outs of check in and check out information. I would absolutely not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you guys.

This property was in good shape, except the beds were low, and the commodes were low and hard to get up from. All but 1 of us are almost 6' tall and are senior citizens. Had a fun time with the pool table, when we were able to be there!

Great Location

We were in town for a Military Retirement and to catch up friends from when we lived here. Great location, easy access to the beaches, Jax Beach, Neptune Beach, Atlantic Beach, and Mayport. Quiet neighborhood. Well appointed house, with lots of consumables available (coffee, laundry, towels, etc). The 3 queen beds were comfortable, AC worked great, fans in bedrooms was nice. Bath rooms were clean, and kitchen was stocked with spices, pots and pans, plates, etc. Pool table was fun to play on. SmartTV in living room was nice to relax to. Great stay!

I am a foster parent .I took all my foster kids to the beach for a small vacation to the beach for all there hard work at school and getting good grades .They loved every thing about the beach house they were so excited .The beach was just a couple miles down the road from where we stayed .They played pool everyday in the game room at the beach house.The Host was awsome always answered my e-mails . No problem with the home at all the neighbors were also great .Will stay again .

This place was the best! Over the past 7 mos. I have experienced several unexpected devastating losses, to include my mother and best friend. I needed to hit the mental reset button and this place did just that. Location, thoughtfulness to what you would need during your stay was impressive. Loved the Dukes in the fridge(country girl through and through)! This home is a must! The outdoor is shower so insagram worthy. We will be back!! The hosts are amazing as well!!
