Service was amazing, the rooms were large and the breakfast was good. Location was great! 10 minute walk to the blue mosque and all the places you need to see. There are also a few really good restaurants within 100 meters of the hotel.

Meget bra opplevelse
Hotellet er lite og hyggelig med kort avstand til det meste i gamlebyen. Rommet var stort med bra bad, egen safe og kjøleskap med plass til egne varer. Et lite trekk for at sengen er begynt å sige i midten. Frokosten var bra og vi hadde ingenting å bemerke på renslighet. Betjeningen var meget hyggelig og imøtekommende. Vi syns det var varmt på rommet på tross av at vi var der i februar. Selv om de hadde slått av AC-anlegget for vintersesongen slo de på dette for oss. Det ble litt misforståelse om dette slik at vi måtte be om å få det slått på igjen hver kveld, men det var ikke noe stor bryderi. Når vi skulle dra ble vi helt uoppfordret tilbudt en gratis overnatting og betalt drosje til flyplassen som plaster på såret for bryderiet med varme på rommet. Selv om vi ga uttrykk for at det ikke var nødvendig og at vi følte oss ivaretatt ved at de slo på AC hver kveld så insisterte hotellsjefen på å refundere oss for en natt pluss drosje. På dette hotellet setter de høyere krav til egen kundeservice enn vi rimelig kunne forvente av dem selv på en god dag. En meget hyggelig opplevelse, uavhengig av prisavslaget, anbefaler dette hotellet på det varmeste.

Service was good and hotel staff were helpful. The room is outdated and need renovation. I won't give it a 4 star. Even I asked for å room on a higher floor before our arrival, we ended up with a small room on 1. floor facing a side road. We paid 70 euro for a day and it's overpriced. There are many other hotels to choose in Sultanahmet area for this price.

Veldig bra hotel
Dette hotellet er rett og slett fantastisk: veldig god service, flott informasjon, rent og veldig fin oppfølging på alle måter. Super wifi, flott frokost, osv. Lokasjon er bra og nærme de viktigste attraksjoner. Vi anbefaler dette hotellet på det varmeste.

An excellent option to stay if you visit Istanbul
I really enjoyed my stay at the Amira Istanbul hotel. The place is located within a short walking distance to the main historical places of Istanbul, the room I booked was cozy enough to rest and recover after a long day walking around, but I would love to focus on the people working at this hotel, they are giving such an excellent service, they are friendly and helpful, so don't hesitate to ask them for advice. A good memory I have is when I needed to book a table at a restaurant at the last minute, the receptionist helped me with this and even he got me restaurant shuttle for free. Istanbul was a fascinating city and I am sure if I am back I will be staying in this hotel again.

This is a lovely restored property. I requested and received a room with a balcony and patio furniture which was wonderful. But it required 2 flights of stairs to get to after taking an elevator. I am just not able to do that kind of stair work after walking all day to see the sights. I switched hotels and the front desk could not have been more understanding or accommodating.

This was the best hotel that we found during our stay. It was conveniently located behind Hagia Sophia, so traveling around that part and Grand Bazaar was easy. The staff are friendly and give you great advice on sightseeing options. We took their advice on sunset Bosphorus cruise and that was the best. Breakfast was phenomenal along with their front desk staff, chefs, and housekeepers. I would stay in Hotel Amira again.

I really was expecting something better. I saw the reviews and it said Exceptional, 9.7, I know that when I book the hotel the only room available was the economy room for 2, I was thinking they would be able to upgrade me, and they upgraded me to a similar room that was for 3 people, (so it was a little bigger) but we were 2, so I didn't care for that room, I wanted a more modern room. The people that works in the hotel were fenomenal, specially the manager, who was willing to cancel part of my reservation, because he felt bad for us, even that my reservation was supposed to be non refundable. What I want to clear out, is that the pictures in the website and in Expedia, doesn't have anything to do with the type of room I got, even the common areas weren't as nice as in the pictures. But like I said, probably the personal made a big difference.

We just stayed for a night before heading to Konya. We love this hotel more than the other hotel we stayed in Ahmedsultan area. The room and bathroom were very clean and smells nice. It’s well maintained. The front desk, Sam helped us to find a taxi with reasonable price. All staff were friendly. Would definitely stay with them again when we visit Istanbul!

Very kind and professional staff for a very good price. Considering the price I paid. I was extremely impressed with how great the amenities and location were. The shower was amazing, though I stayed for only one night I wish I could have stayed for more. Best honeymoon stay for a first two days. We got to experience everything and the breakfast and terrace were amazing!

Absolut empfehlenswert! Wir hatten eine Unterkunft nebst Flug gebucht. Das Upgrade vom Standardzimmer zu einem deutlich größeren mit Balkon haben wir dankend angenommen. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Das Frühstück war vollständig und in Teilen täglich frisch zubereitet. Die Lage war für uns ideal, in 5 bis 10 Minuten bergauf zur Blauen Moschee. Das nächste Mal buchen wir wieder dieses Hotel.

The staff went out of their way to accommodate us by getting us into a room early and offered us a complimentary meal while we waited. We were treated VERY well here and it was a short walk to all of the important sites in Sultanahmet.

The area was in a perfect location for everything we wanted to see. The staff was a 10 ! They went above and beyond and every restaurant recommendation they made was excellent! They were friendly, helpful and really cared. Highly recommend this hotel and would certainly stay there again!

This was my first ever solo trip and by far the best trip I have been on . The hotel was cute and in an amazing location. The staff were very helpfully , friendly and attentive. I had all the support and care I needed and most of all the bed was very comfortable. I think the location is perfect and I have done so much in just a short amount of time . Short walk to restaurants, local bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque. From the Sultanahmet llaza we could take the tram to the bazaar, the city walls, the water, etc. The hotel was really nice. Amazing Turkish breakfast spread, 24 hour room service, very nice bed ans bathroom. The staff was suoer! Greeted us with chocolate dipped strawberries, left me with a carnation when we left. Shuttke from airpirt to hotel and back was very convenient, too. We will return!

Amira Hotel is a small very homely place with excellent staff. Location is convenient and you can walk to many worth seeing places. Free Breakfast is available till 1030AM. We stayed for three nights and fully recommend it.

If you are looking for a nice and affordable hotel in the middle of the old city then this is a great spot. The staff are extremely helpful and will help you figure out what sort of things you need to get around town. All the historical sites are withing walking distance, and they will even find and negotiate with a taxi driver to get you the best price if you decided to go a bit further around town. Even helped explain how to get a public transport card so you can take a bus/tram or ferry with minimal effort. Great friendly staff who love to help

Not only is this hotel a great gem, it is close to many fine restaurants, it is located walking distance to the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaa. Wow. I was impressed and i travel 2 weeks each month to foreign countries. The entire staff from the front desk, the dining, and housekeeping were excellent! Thank you.

Amira is a great hotel if you plan to visit the European side of Istanbul and want things in a walking range. We traveled with an 1yo (early walker) and the location was perfect. We were able to take breaks and visit the sights in walking distance. The property is immaculately clean and the staff puts in the effort to keep it that way. They were helpful in helping plan out excursions and had helpful tips for travelers. They even suggested great locations to get handicrafts, meals and souvenirs. The breakfast buffet was well stocked with local delights --- honey on the comb, olives, the special breads, walnuts, etc. The eating area was super clean all the time and staff put extra effort to make us feel welcome. I wish we could stay longer to enjoy more. We will definitely be back to explore and enjoy more

What a great boutique hotel in the heart of old Istanbul. The check-in and check-out process could not have been any easier and reminded me of the easier times checking into hotels in the USA. It’s crazy how far a little ease and hospitality can go. Bravo to the hotel and staff.
