«What a great little place! It's perfect if you need a home-base and want to tour around the area. It's simple but lovely and well maintained. So clean! Alan, one of the owners is very knowledgeable and not just about the area! He has geology knowledge upon food recommendations upon hiking/walking/climbing trails. We got a lovely reception as soon as we arrived. It isn't fancy but the atmosphere and service are 5 star. »

«We were initially taken aback by the steep, and narrow hill on which the B&B is situated. Parking was limited, so we ended up in a car park in town. After dragging our luggage up to the residence, we were out of breath. Inside, more steps up to the room. And, oh, what a room. Not large, but lovingly kitted out with Victoria-era style fittings. «We have been on a ten day round trip through northern Scotland. This hotel is the worst on this trip and within top 5 worst hotels I’ve experienced. The room was damp and moist, there were som pathetic repair attempts on a window and obvious rot in the bathroom had been painted over. There is presumably black fungus in the cracks of the paint. «Beautiful room, tremendous view, lots of little touches, e.g. binoculars on the window ledge, dressing gown and slippers, a dram left on the window ledge, a proper bottle of milk left in the fridge, a wee bottle of irn bru, energy bars….. and the list goes on! "Stort og deilig rom, med god varme og gode luftemuligheter. Deilig med badekar. God frokost. De ansatte var utrolig flinke, vi ble møtt utrolig godt både i reseption, restaurant og bar, særlig god ekspertise var det i baren. Vi smakte masse godt, og tok med oss et par juleflasker med gin hjem av den grunn. "

Wallpaper in the stairs were flaking off. In addition there was thick tobacco smoke from the room across. There may also be structural damages as the breakfast hall floor was very uneven. The backyard was really filthy. The mgmt of the hotel has been sendt the pictures below for comments, but has not responded. The only elevator was not working. "

"Hyggelig personale. Fine rom, men spor av mugg i taket på badet. Hadde nydelig vær, men det var få utemøbler (4 benker) eller parasoller så folk måtte sitte på bakken. God middag, gjennomsnittlig frokostbuffet. Alt i alt, overpriset og et stykke å gå på komfort. "
