«Interesting old pub with good real ale. Evening dinner was very good but I found the full English breakfast a little disappointing. Bacon should be back and not two small rashers of streaky. The sausage was tough to break in to. The rest was okay.
The room was spacious and had all the facilities. Would recommend for an overnight stay although you will need satnav to find it.»

«The room was decent and the bed comfortable. The issue we had was the bar had closed at 10.25pm and the bar staff wouldn’t serve us despite us having been told that it would be open until 11pm. We weren’t even allowed to add drinks to our bill and have them in our room because the barman said he’s closed all the tills. He said we could go to the local garage if we wanted to buy alcohol - not exactly what you expect when staying in a hotel.»
