When I landed on Huahine, the rain was pouring down. Teva & Tam were kind enough to invite me to join them on a drive to the grocery store. The bungalow is comfortable and nicely decorated. Upon arrival, it was beautifully prepared with fresh flowers and leaves, and a lovely jasmine scent. I especially liked the bedroom. The outdoor shower is wonderful, and the towels are of high quality. The kitchen is functional and has a large fridge, though it would have been even better with a few basic supplies such as oil and soy sauce. There is a terrace which is great for relaxing. The bungalow is located in the garden of a family home. Two dogs visit from time to time, and while I was staying there, it felt as though they were looking after me as part of the family. The dogs even came to pick me up at the beach when it was time to go to the airport (!). The complimentary airport transfer is welcome, as there are no regular taxis at the airport, and it may close shortly after arrivals. Teva & Tam provide bikes suitable for short trips. The bungalow is within walking or biking distance to a lovely beach (turn left when reaching the water and continue along a narrow path until you reach it). It is rather small and full of shells that make beautiful sounds as the waves roll back. The commercial center is also reachable by bike or on foot and has a fairly large grocery store. There are also a few smaller shops northeast of the bungalow, all within biking distance.
