Great views and cozy atmosphere
Beautiful location with friendly staff. The main house where checkin and breakfast happened was warm and welcoming. Very cute rooms! One thing to note, is it does require a gravel road a bit off the Ring Road. We didn’t mind this, and it was still easy to find

We absolutely loved this property! As soon as we arrived we were greeted in the most welcoming way by staff. Clubhouse stays open late into the evening if you want a hot drink before bed or a cozy space to relax outside of your room. The view is glorious! We stayed in the fall and the colors were amazing with the glacier and mountains in the background. Breakfast was included and had great options to start our day. We would stay here again in a heartbeat if we are in the area!

The spectacular views from the sitting room while drinking a glass of wine with friends and the fine food served by friendly staff will always define Iceland for me. Highly recommended.

Großartiges Essen, schöne Blickachsen
Etwas abseits der Ringstraße (Mehrere Kilometer schlaglochreiche Schotterstraße) steht eine Reihe von Appartments unterschiedlicher Größe - mit großen Fensterfronten und schönen Blickachsen, aber mit dem zentralen Frühstücks-/Abendessenraum nur über Außenwege verbunden. Abendessen und Frühstück waren reichlich, wurden mit viel Liebe präsentiert und waren uneingeschränkt lecker. Nicht so gut gefallen hat uns, dass unser Vierbett-Appartement bei der Ankunft nicht geheizt und die Elektroheizung schwer auf eine normale Raumtemperatur einzustellen war. Auch eine völlige Verdunkelung des Raumes war nicht möglich. Wichtiger Hinweis: Zu Ende 2023 wird die Anlage offenbar an einen neuen Eigentümer verkauft.

We liked the views from main lobby, they had home made cookies, which my kids loved. Host at the lobby are very friendly, they made chocolate milk for my kids and we got to drink freshly brewed amazing coffee. They offer really good food, very cozy and comfortable place to stay. Road to get to the place is not paved, other than that we really enjoyed the place a lot.

A room with a view- and delicious food!
Booked this guest house on the spur of the moment- and I’m so glad I did! I couldn’t be more satisfied with the property or the service. I highly recommend eating the home cooked dinner prepared by the host, everything she made was fantastic. If you choose not to eat dinner in the main house it’s a bit of a drive to eat anywhere else.

Our second 2 night stay at this guesthouse. The owners were not on site this time and the young international staff did a perfect job in making us welcome. The evening dinner was just as good as we remembered from before and so nice to chat to other guests. We are sad to hear they the owners are selling up and retiring though much deserved. We hope the new owners will keep the evening meal option and the special atmosphere of this place.

Our family of 4 stayed here in our way to Vik. The beds were comfy, nice location just 15 minutes off Hwy 1 and they offer a really good breakfast. Staff was excellent!

Best stay during our 2 week trip to Iceland!! Do not miss this wonderful gem of a guesthouse! Incredibly warm and welcoming hostess and staff. Our family stayed here and Natalia went out of her way to make our stay special. Elin accommodated my daughter’s food allergy and the dinner she and her staff prepared for us was our best meal -out of many wonderful meals-in Iceland!! We will always remember our stay here and would recommend Glacier View Guesthouse (and the marvelous dinner!) to anyone!! A highlight of our trip!

The Glacier View Hotel in Iceland is an absolute gem and my stay there was nothing short of incredible. Situated in a remote location, the drive to the hotel was quite long but was definitely worth the effort when I reached there. The unique experience of the hotel definitely made it stand out from any other I had visited previously. The staff were exceptional and went out of their way to make sure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. Right from the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and made to feel at home. The highlight of the stay was the delicious dinner that was cooked by our host. It felt like we were dining at home and the food was made from scratch with love. This was hands down the best meal that I had during my entire trip to Iceland. The rooms were spacious, modern and clean. Everything was well-appointed and had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. With the breathtaking views of the glaciers outside, it was a real treat to wake up to. The breakfast was also amazing and included in the room rate, which was incredibly convenient. After my stay at the Glacier View Hotel, I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Iceland. It might be remote, but the experience is totally worth it. If you’re looking for a unique stay and an unforgettable experience, this is the hotel for you. I will definitely return to the hotel in the future.

I can't say enough about the Glacier View! The suite was lovely. The hosts made us a sumptuous dinner where we sat family style and ate. Halfway through the meal we all ran outside to see the Northern Lights and stars which we totally visible without any light pollution!

The guesthouse and rooms were very warm and inviting. The guesthouse in particular was cizy and felt like home. The couple that run it are very friendly and accommodating. The breads and yummies are made in house. This is a wonderful place to relax after being out all day.

Wonderful stay. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly. They really give the place a personal touch. They make much of the food onsite. Really exceptional service. The rooms are small but very clean and tidy. Bathrooms are modern. I would highly recommend a stay. The road to the location is gravel and long so be aware of that if you are going there during the winter as 4WD drive would be advisable.
