It was very nice and served it's purpose well. Maybe it was my fault, but i could not get the shower to work. Besides that, everything was lovely.

Great place to stay
Very clean room and comfortable bed. Clear arrival instructions. Good wifi signal. Short walk from Portslade station and easy bus ride into Brighton.

Portslade, not Hove
Spacious, airy room and nice bed and pillows. Good service- cleaned every day.Room very bare- needs more storage and brightening up. It would have been nice to have tea on the hospitality tray and access to an ironing board and iron. Very close to Portslade Station and bus routes. It was basic, but served a purpose.

Would definitely stay here again
Lovely staff who were very friendly, communicative and helpful. Unfortunately I was charged a pre authorisation fee and the full amount was taken out before, even after choosing the option to pay at the hotel upon arrival, with me still having to pay when I had got there. However this was not the hotels fault and I have raised this issue with them. Otherwise the experience at the hotel was good, the room was spot on. Many thanks

It was okay, but very far from all the places that is good to enjoy. It is just really a place to sleep in and take a bath thats it nothing special.

Okay, with a couple of caveats.
Generally quite nice, but two very specific complaints. First, the bed was not good. Second, the shower was far too on the first night cold, than far too hot on the second! But clean, well-presented, suitable temperature and free wifi. At this price, don't expect miracles.

Economical, clean and easy
Easy check in, rooms were spacious, shared bathroom was big and surprisingly the towels were very soft and comfortable. Only 5 minute walk to Portslade station which is then a 10 min train to Brighton. Sainsburys and Aldi also near by. Very good location años very good price compared to Brighton central. Great for people who do not mind the extra bit of travelling.

Little complaints considering what I paid and I made sure I had the en-suite double as I believe the other rooms all share a bathroom. Overall it was absolutely fine and value for money. Friendly staff

New Years Eve at Clifton House
Lovely room and comfortable stay. Parking is awkward due to the busy road and cars parked on the road outside the hotel. TV didn’t work initially in the room but resolved it ourselves later on in the stay. Ideal for a cheap night away.

Everything was fine but the man who let us in and took payment on the Friday had started banging and drilling below us at 23:40 Saturday night after me and my partner had been out all day from 10am till 10pm when we got back to go to sleep I had to get out of the bed and go down and knock on there door to bring it to there attention that it's after 8pm I text the contact persons mobile affan 07903878376 (Hi mr McCourt here The time if this text sent. basically I have the double room at the top from of house the room or apartment was underneath was banging and drilling at the time of this text being sent 23:40pm I went down stairs and brought it to the attention of a woman who answered the door to what time it was that it's after 8pm Thanks Hi Mr McCourt, Please accept my apologies. There were some minor works needed downstairs but I appreciate that it is late and there should be none going on. I will make sure this doesn’t happen again and again please accept my apologies. Kind Regards Affan) Me and my partner are in bed as we've been out since this morning and are trying to sleep. Thanks Also two nights in a row I've heard someone talking on a phone too from front of the house sounds like the guy who let us in Thanks

Great place to stay
The B &B was lovely and clean and owner extremely helpful. Great place to stay and although not close to the centre there were several bus stops close by and buses were very frequent. You are on a busy main road but cannot hear any traffic at night. There is parking on site which is charged per day in cash on arrival but also plenty of parking near by.

Nice little place
Lovely place, very clean and comfortable. Although it is a lot further from Brighton centre than you’d think, around an hour and a half walk into Brighton centre or a £13 taxi journey.
