O.K. hotell
To i familie, som delte rom i to netter. Ikke lett å finne fra Gatwick, dels p.g.a. togstreik. Vi fikk rom øverst, uten heis. Te og vannkoker i rommet, men skitne tefat. Hånkleholderne var så løst oppsatt at de falt ned ved bruk. Mye trafikkstøy når vinduet var åpent. Gode senger, gangavstand til sentrum.

Good night's sleep
Very convenient located one station from airport. With the window closed I didn't hear planes taking off. Shopping mall short distance away and pubs.

We stayed at the property for 5 days and our room was never cleaned. We had to ask for towels and toilet paper. We emptied our own garbage. Some difficulty in finding any staff members.

A clean, comfortable & pleasant place for a night close to Gatwick airport. What I didn’t like was the musty smell of the towels and the absence of any mattress cover. The well used mattress was visible through the thin sheet. I had an extra towel and placed that between the mattress and the sheet to provide a layer between me and the mattress.

The front area of tge property was piled with loose dirt & mud. Very inconvenient for walking up to the front entrance. Loud noise in the middle of the night.

Gainsborough Lodge has been refurbished, clean and an efficient entry service. Rooms are clean and tidy, comfy beds, hot showers with tea & coffee making facilities. Just needed a spoon! Perfect for the airport, not far to walk to shops and restaurants and the station, which takes you into the airport. Recommend this hotel for sure.

It was supposed to be a B & B altho there was no food,rooms really need updating too,it was clean and bed was comfy,l wouldmaybe go somewhere else next time.

Convinient Gatwick stay
We stayed here for one night before our flight at Gatwick, the location is fantastic for this and it’s a short walk to restaurants and pubs for a meal and drink. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The building was quite rundown from the outside but was clean and tidy on the inside Our room was clean but quite dated. The smell of air freshener was quite over powering and although there were tea/coffee facilities there was a very small amount of supplies and no milk sachets. There was no hairdryer, not the end of the world. Overall I would stay here again, just a few tiny niggles but for the price and convenience it was ok

It’s a well kept property close to Gatwick Airport seems very popular with guests. Staff was extremely helpful to make my stay comfortable as I had missed the connecting flight to Malaga, Spain. Specially Mr Kringle and Mr Chirag who not only tried his best to get me flt connection on the following but dropped me at the airport in his personal car. This courteous attitude of Chirag goes much beyond his duty and I thank him for that. Partap Narula, Calgary, Canada

The hotel is close to Gatwick airport (the terminal is only a mile away via a riverside garden walk). My room was small but had everything I needed (apart from a hairdryer)

We arrived late, but the communication was excellent so we could still get in. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean. Excellent place! Walkable from horley train station.

Felt very itchy on hand and back at night and turned the night on and found a black bug on the comforter and killed it and it had blood. One of my hand was swollen because of the bite. When mentioning to the staff all he said was they did not have bedbugs.

The staff were friendly and helpful with local information. The property was located in a good location, near to the village and transportation. The village of Horley is clean, full of local shops, and several good restaurants. Its nearness to Gatwick, is a real plus.

Arrived at 10pm to be informed by a scantily dressed man that my room supposedly had a leak and I would have to stay at another hotel located about a mile away. I was told not to drive there and that i would be taken there by shuttle. Both hotels had repairs going on which had the appearance of being a permanent feature, the first one also looked like a boarding house from the early 70's. Not recommended.

Perfect for pre-flight from LGW
A short 2.2km walk from Gatwick. Path marked but rough in parts so be aware if you have a trolley suitcase. Plain room but clean. Relatively quiet for being so close to the airport. Shops nearby in Horley to get food and several Pubs and takeaway meal options.

Un hotel en rehabilitation...
Nous sommes arrivées à 21h30. L'hotelier, gentiment, nous avait communiqué le code d'accès à l'hôtel. Notre clé nous attendait sur le comptoir d'accueil. Nous avons regagné notre chambre à l'étage. Au bout d'un couloir. Grosse moquette epaisse dans l'escalier. La chambre à côté de la notre etait en renovation, celle d'en face aussi. Des ouvriers ont travaillé jusqu'à 1 heure du matin... de plus, notre chambre, sans doute mal isolee, etait glaciale. La buée perlait aux fenêtres... la moquette n'était pas nettoyée. De la poussière sur les tables de nuit. Malgré cela, l'eau de la douche était chaude. Nous n'avons vu personne le matin à notre depart. le matelas était, quant à lui, confortable. A l'extérieur de l'hôtel, un amoncellement de matériaux de construction s'accumulait dans le jardin.
