This fully furnished, higher floor, Hawaiian Monarch studio has stunning ocean and Ala Way Canal views where you can relax and enjoy your wonderful, Hawaiian vacation. Slide open the windows and enjoy the fresh air, or leave them closed and turn on the A/C. It is within walking distance to the Waikiki strip, International Market Place, Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium, Ala Moana Shopping Center (largest mall), beaches, retail stores, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, Hawaii Convention Center, Consolidated Theaters in Ward, Dave & Buster's, Lucky Strike, and grocery stores.
This is a legal, short-term, vacation rental that has been newly renovated in March 2025.

• Guests will have private access to the entire studio and may use the pool, jacuzzi, cabanas, BBQ grill area, and gym through secured, key card access. Please submit the additional guest’s name to ensure immediate access to the gym and to be able to get a replacement key card from the Security Office. There is a one time $5 gym access fee per each person for the entire stay and a $20 fee for each lost or damaged key card. Please note that gym access and key card replacement fees may be changed by the Security Office at any time.
• Guests may store their luggage in the luggage storage area before check-in or after checkout if needed. You will have to pay $5 per bag to the Security Office or Security kiosk. Please note that luggage storage fees may be changed at any time by the Security Office.
• Please go to the Security Office on the lower lobby level (LL) from 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and to the Security kiosk on the lobby level (L) during all other times to get gym access, replacement key cards, and/or to store your luggage. Please call them at (808) 292-2644 if no one is available at the desk. I will also send the number to you before your check-in. Please note that gym access, key card replacement, and luggage storage fees may be changed at any time by the Security Office.
• If you choose to rent a car from the rental car companies located in the building, Honolulu Auto Rentals, Jeep Rentals Waikiki, or 808 Smart Cars, you will receive a significant discount and a nightly rate of $20 to park in the garage. Please book your rental car in advance to ensure the availability of cars during your stay. If you rent a car elsewhere, it will be $45 nightly, which is the average daily parking rate in Waikiki. However, if you pay in advance for your whole stay, it will be $40 nightly. The parking garage ONLY accepts CASH. Please note that daily parking rates may change at any time.
• There is an ATM machine at the parking garage entrance where the parking attendant is, another one near the Tours & Activities desk near the elevators in the lobby area near Cream Pot, one in Golden Pond Sundries, and one in the 7-11 next door.
The studio is located in beautiful Waikiki and within walking distance to the Waikiki strip, International Marketplace, Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, Waikiki Beach, other beaches in Waikiki, Waikiki post office, Kapiolani Park, the Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium, Ala Wai Golf Course, Ala Wai canal, Ala Moana Shopping Center (largest mall), Ala Moana Beach, Magic Island Park, the marina, the Hawaii Convention Center, Kaka’ako, Ward Village, Lucky Strike Social, Consolidated Ward Theatres w/Titan Deluxe, and Dave & Buster’s.
The Hawaiian Monarch building has several places to eat at: Cream Pot, which is a wonderful breakfast and brunch restaurant, Ali’i Bar & Grill, and Maleko Coffee and Pastries. There is a convenience store also in the building called Golden Pond Sundries, and 7-11 is right next door, which is open 24 hours a day. It is across the street from Waikiki Brewing Company and the Ohana Hale Marketplace Food Truck Lot.
There are also many restaurants and retail stores within walking distance, including across the street, on the Waikiki Strip, in the International Marketplace, and in the Ala Moana Shopping Center, which is the largest mall in Oahu.
You can buy groceries at Foodland, which is located in the Ala Moana Shopping Center. If you're into a more healthy and organic selection, there is also a Whole Foods Market in the Kaka'ako / Ward Village area not too far from the condo and a little further than the mall. You can also buy some groceries at Island Country Markets in Waikiki. There are 2 that are not far from the building.
Waikiki Beach is a popular place where tourists go to swim in the ocean and get their vacation tan. You can also rent a surf board, get surfing lessons there, and even ride a catamaran. On Sundays, they also play movies on a large screen at the end of the beach by the Honolulu Zoo. There are many restaurants in the area that you can grab take out from and enjoy while watching the movie.
Magic Island Park is located within Ala Moana Beach Park, and is a popular place to take a stroll, jog, ride your bicycle, rollerblade, go swimming, surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, or parasailing. Many local people have barbecues there on the weekends and on holidays, so it is more difficult to find parking quickly. You may want to walk from the building instead. On some occasions, they hold special events there, like cultural festivals, the Memorial Day Lantern Festival, and the 4th of July fireworks. It has a beautiful scenery, and you can also watch the sunset and the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort fireworks from there as well. You could also choose to watch the fireworks from the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort lagoon or anywhere that it’s visible.

Very clean, conveniently located for walking to everything I needed (the beach, the convention center, the marathon start, shopping & lots of places to eat). Public transportation made it easy to travel further out.
Great place, with awesome views, close to the Beach and Waikiki. Host was wonderful, she communicated readily and was very accommodating.Parking was high at 45 per night in cash, but I knew that going inHighly recommend it and will stay there again when I'm back home. Mahalo nui loa
