Holualoa Garden Studio is located 4 miles above Kona town at 1400 ft elevation in the coffee belt. Temperatures are cooler with nice breezes in the afternoon. The studio is on the right side of a quaint Hawaiian home with two other units. They overlook a lush garden with several fruit trees including bananas, tangerines, lemons, and mangoes. You will be walking distance to the town of Holualoa with art galleries, a Kona coffee cafe (Holuakoa).

We had a wonderful 9-day stay at Linda's Holualoa Garden Studio. It's set up the hill from all Kona's tourist activity and offers a lush garden experience. The space itself was fully functional and very clean, with use of beach equipment (inc. a great umbrella, a boogie board and coolers). Linda's location allowed us very easy access to stellar snorkeling and good swimming beaches all recommended by her. We visited Hilo and Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park and Kohala on two longer drives.Linda was also a great resource for local history, places to eat and markets for fresh fruits: we especially enjoyed Umeke's and rarely ate in. We loved eating fresh papaya, tasty apple bananas and coffee from local markets before heading out on daily explorations. We both highly recommend Linda's garden studio for a fun and relaxing visit on Hawai’i Island and definitely want to stay there again!

Such enchanting accommodations. The location (to us) was perfect! Just enough out of the way to feel secluded, but only minutes down the hill to all the excitement, shops, and beaches. Linda and Rob are wonderful hosts. So responsive and accommodating. There when you needed them, but the garden studio and private entrance made you feel all alone. Definitely enjoyed the cooler temps at that elevation. The home had everything you could need and then some! If we come back to the big island, we would reserve there again without thinking twice. We will miss being killed to sleep by the sounds and smells of the enchanted gardens!

Linda and Ron were such welcoming hosts from a tour upon our arrival to a yummy welcome treat of fresh fruit & muffins to making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We so enjoyed the beautiful garden & being a but off the beaten path but still very close to lots of sites and activities.

Just met the host once, was nice enough. The shower was only good for 1 hot shower. After that it ran cold. Hair dryer shorted out. The bed was lumpy. Think the topper needs to be replaced. Parking was tight but not much they can do about that. It was clean and quiet. The kitchen was nicely set up and handy

Amazing property base

Tropical Paradise

Well appointed unit. Clean. Responsive property owner. Friendly neighbors. Nightly coqui frogs manageable with ear plugs. Nice grounds. Especially enjoyed the fragrant gardenia and puakenikeni shrubs near entrance

Perfect place to cool off at the end of the day

This was a wonderful stay to come home to at the end of a day on the water. The altitude means that it's very comfortable to sleep with the breeze coming through the windows. The host went above and beyond to make sure the stay was comfortable and pleasant. Would stay here in the future!

Historic Holualoa

We had a great stay with our friendly hosts, Linda and Rob. The place was centrally located for us - close to Kona and places that we like to snorkel. The historic village of Holualoa was a 10 minute walk away with a good restaurant, galleries and boutiques.Good communication and beach gear! Appreciated the fresh apple bananas.

Perfect garden setting

Linda and Rob were gracious, helpful hosts, making us feel immediately welcome. The Garden suite is set on a terraced tropical garden at about 1000 ft of altitude, meaning it is beautifully cool with and comfortable with no need for aircon. It is in a safe neighbourhood that is a short drive down to attractions like snorkelling and parks. The hosts were helpful with excellent recommenations. We would love to come again if we makevit back to Hawaii.

Cool and Comfy

By far the best place we stayed on our recent trip to Hawaii. Although it’s a studio, it’s laid out well and we didn’t feel cramped (2 adults and one tween). Our daughter loved the window bed nook! It was a very quick drive into Kailua-Kona but thankfully removed from the really busy areas, and the higher elevation meant it was nice and cool, especially at night. Our hosts, Linda and Rob, were extremely friendly and helpful. All-in-all a great experience!

Highly recommend!

Clean, cozy and wonderful. We stayed both at a 4 and 5 star resort immediately prior to this, but I enjoyed the Garden studio the most. Perfect for me and my two teens. Up in the cloud forest so it is great for cooling down after a hot day at the beach.

Beautiful Property & Exceptional Host

We absolutely loved the serene surroundings and lush foliage. It was a perfect place to recharge and refresh after a long day of snorkeling in the sun. Linda was very timely in her communications with us and so friendly and helpful every step of the way. Highly recommend!

Cozy happy studio in great location!

Linda is a fabulous host and has thought of everything. This studio is bright and colorful and comfy too. The photos don’t do it justice! The location is perfect to get to anything in just a few minutes. The elevation is so nice and cool, along the coffee belt of Holualoa. We hope to come back and stay again, and will definitely recommend it to our friends.
