BED BUGS - BEWARE!

BED BUGS - BEWARE!! We stayed at No Bad Days, provided by AMI Locals. Our 2 yr old daughter was waking up every night crying and we realized near the end of our trip, that she had these bites all over her body (arms, legs, back and chest). We tried to bring our concerns AMI management and how we suspected them of being bedbugs. After 2 weeks of back and forth emails, AMI did have reports of someone inspecting the house for bed bugs to which none were found. I know from experience of having bed bugs as a kid, the they are not easily detectable, even with professional assistance. AMI wanted to try and claim that these bites were from no-see-ums, which makes no sense because no one else in our group (of 7) had similar bites and we all spent the week together always in the same place. Additionally - the biting sequence is in line with what you'd find from bed bugs and NOT no-see-ums (see screen shot from website describing difference). We requested a 50% refund as we found that would be fair as we did enjoy most of our stay but this experience caused our daughter discomfort every night and also caused us to have to leave our suitcases in the garage for 2 weeks while they conducted their internal investigation. Ultimately, we were offered a nominal refund which we do not see as sufficient. All in all I wish AMI would have been reasonable and turned this into a good customer service situation, but they were standing their ground about this being no-see-um bites which is ridic

No Bad Days lives up to it's name!

Our family of 8 adults and 2 babies had a wonderful stay at this property. Very clean and comfy and surpassed my expectations. A little further from the beach than I anticipated, but the ranch style home had no steps and was great for toddlers and my 78 year old mother. Mtg. company was very attentive! We will def be back!

Family vacation

We came here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Location is close to beach and it's also quiet! The house fit our needs well...only thing that could've been better is if the kitchen would've been stocked more, like salt and pepper and different spices, more dishwasher soap, trash bags, etc. But otherwise no complaints...we had a great time!!!

Great house and location

Home easily accommadated 8 people. Home decor was very nice and beds were comfortable. Pool/patio just off the kitchen/living space was great. Patio area had shade all day. Late in day pool was completely shaded. Parking sufficient for up to three cars. Would definitely stay there again.

Met expectations - good location

We were a family of 8 ranging in ages from 16-75. The house was very clean and the kitchen stocked well. The location is great - short walk to the beach. We would spend half the day at the beach and the other half at the house pool. We did rent a golf cart although it’s not needed if you have a car (we did not). The island was packed due to spring breakers so we ate in most nights. The wait for restaurants was 3-4 hours. I bought fresh seafood and we enjoyed that just perfectly! My only suggestions/dissatisfaction are minor. 1) the bed sheets were awful and everyone complained of them. It was basically like sleeping with a paper bag - for the amount of this rental they should provide better bedding. Also, the rugs in the house need thrown away. Just too much wear and tear and are dingy. The pool gets very dirty daily but someone is there to clean on Tues and Fri. I would rent again from AMI and stay at this house again. I would just bring my own bedding :)

Homey place!

Great homey feel... perfect location, comfortable beds, kitchen fully stocked except for spices. Did have some critters visit outside at night but contacted manager and he immediately called someone that took care of the problem. It was a little unnerving to say the least! All good tho! A COVID-Free Christmas at No Bad Days

Our family of five (2 adults + 3 teens) decided we need to end this horrible year on a high note, so we packed up the mini-van, the masks, the hand-sanitizer, and headed to No Bad Days. Our arrival was incredibly easy and the house was sparkling clean. We loved the layout out of the house and I'm so glad we splurged on a house with a hot tub. Because of COVID, we cooked all but two of our meals and the other two meals we got take-out. The kitchen had everything I needed and I was able to cook a nice Christmas dinner. The beach is an easy walk. Really it was just a perfect little get-away for our family. Two things we activities that we really enjoyed were: 1.) renting bikes from Beach Bums and 2.) chartering a boat (google Captain Jerry Mayer) The boat ride was the highlight of our stay and I recommend it highly. The only small issue we had was that the dryer was broken. I think this has been a recurring problem and they were getting it fixed. They had someone come out right away and gave us temporary solution while they waited for parts. That did the trick so it wasn't a big deal. This was our first trip to Anna Maria Island and it really exceeded our expectations. I would love to go back post-COVID so we can visit more of the islands shops and restaurants. If we do, I would not hesitate to rent No Bad Days again.

No Bad Days Review for 9/19-9/26/2020

Overall it was a wonderful property that was perfect for our Fall Break vacation (3 adults plus 5 teens). Not directly on the beach but easy 2 minute walk. The only real issue was the dryer did not work. The property manager was immediately on it and sent someone to look at it the same day. However, he was not able to fix it so someone else was called and came the next day. The vent was clogged and he was not qualified to fix it either so someone else was contacted to come the next day. By day 4 it was working properly. The other thing I would recommend is replacing the 4 light bulbs out in hallway and bathrooms and under microwave. Nice backyard oasis with clean pool and hot tub! Also nice to have pool service twice/week along with yard maintenance. Gas grill has seen better days but it worked just fine. I will also warn that mosquitos are bad and will need to bring repellent.

Our family of eight had a wonderful week at this beautiful property! Great location, just a short walk to the beach, and the pool and hot tub were a plus also. The house was nicely decorated, and plenty of room for us to spread out. Would definitely recommend this home when visiting Anna Maria Island!

Great Experience

The house was lovely - lots of space, very clean and functional. The pool was amazing. Our kids (ages 3 and 7) were able to make the short walk from the house to the beach and back. The property management company went above and beyond to accommodate and care for us. thank-you!

Amazing location and property!

We truly enjoyed this memorable vacation at “No Bad Days”! There was plenty of room for our large group. The pool area was fun with the swim up tiki bar, hot tub and grill. The location was perfect, not in a busy area and in the middle between Holmes Beach and AMI. We rode horses in the water, had many beach days and loved all of the amazing options. Golf carts were also a hit! Would absolutely stay here again.

Great Place!

We had a great stay at No Bad Days. I don't know that we would change anything. We were hoping to be able to check in early since we had an arriving flight but, check in says 4 and the cleaning company left right at 4, so we can't really complain about that. Looking back, we should have asked if we could check in early because we also had an early departing flight and we would be out of the house at 3am on check out day. The place was clean, kitchen has whatever you need to cook. The grill has seen better days but it worked. The pool was hard to keep clean because of all of the landscaping but that's what made you feel secluded in the back yard, we loved it out there! We spent time there in the afternoon when it got too hot at the beach and it was a great spot in the evening as well. We were 2 families, a family of 3 and a family of 4 and we had plenty of room. The house was really great. We bought a tent for the beach and left it at the house. This was one of the first rentals we had been at that didn't include an umbrella, small cost, big reward for the renter. It doesn't say it's included so we weren't surprised to not find one, but that may be something to throw in, the beach chairs that are provided were very nice! If you are worried about walking to the beach, we found it very easy to keep stuff in the car and drive down as there was plenty of parking. We had a lot of stuff to take with us each day with 3 kids under 11.......tent, chairs, rafts, toys and a very heavy cooler bc we were thirsty adults. I'd definitely recommend this house.

No Bad Days

No Bad Days was the perfect house for our family vacation. We comfortably fit two families (totaling 4 adults and 4 children). It was well stocked with all of the essentials (bed linens and bath towels, kitchen appliances, pots/pans, utensils, and beach accessories). The house looks to be newly refinished and the interior design is so heartwarming. The heated pool and jacuzzi were used everyday and the walk to the beach is very convenient (only 1 block ~ 3 minute walk) that we were able to go back and forth for lunch and dinner. The house sits on a corner lot, but the adjoining streets are not heavily traveled and the outside seating area is very quiet and private surrounded by perfectly landscaped property aligned with palm trees. It is centrally located on the island so we were also able to walk to the pier and restaurants, bakery, and ice cream. The sunsets were breathtaking and we were sure to catch them all! We would definitely stay at No Bad Days again when visiting Anna Maria Island!

We loved this house. Despite our Red tide experience and not able to really enjoy our favorite beach we enjoyed having a wonderful house with a great pool area! We will be booking again!

We absolutely loved our week in Holmes beach!! No Bad Days was so cozy and perfectly located.

The house was very well laid out & perfect for two families... the pool was amazing & with beach just a short two block walk made this house perfect for us!! We felt the appliances could use some work..the dishwasher would keep shutting off on us & would not get dishes very clean. We would end up washing mostly by hand. The washing machine would do the same on shutting off on us or not spinning out all the way. It was either the washer or dryer that would leave black marks on some of our clothes. We also felt the floors were not very clean upon arriving but we did understand being close to beach & with all the sand that is a hard job to do. We just tried our best to help keep sand swept up week we were there. This is all minor but thought you would like to know. We will definitely be back in the future!!! This was an awesome property & location was fabulous!! We highly recommend “No Bad Days”!!!!! ☀️🌴🎣😎
