«We really enjoyed our 2 nights here. With 2 adults and 2 young children it was very snug, but the amount of space was good as a base for our adventures around the Hokianga. Sunny windows, beautiful view of the sandy north head from the window, lovely sounds of the sea at night. Very heavy rain overnight but we were high and dry, no issues. Bruce was very welcoming and was close by if we needed anything (we didn't). The sofa bed was all made up for the kids when we arrived in the evening. The ...

«Bruce is a great host, warm, friendly and helpful. The unit is spacious, clean, well equipped for cooking, furniture and linen are good quality. There is a sea view, and it is well located close to the Hokianga entrance, with good walks nearby. Also very close to the excellent local fish and chip/ takeaway.»

«This is a really beautiful place and the room was enormous and the layout was so in keeping with the heritage level of the building. There was a tea set for tea or coffee, a king sized bed, a sofa for relaxing and a bath. Total luxury!»

«Clean with plenty of space. Pool and Spa weren't open so can't comment on those. We were in Room 9 at the front near the office with a carpark directly outside the room which was good. The gate to the Backpacker accommodation in the next block was behind our room so we heard it slamming all the time, also the lights outside are bright so it is difficult to get the room dark for sleeping. Try to get a room at the rear to avoid this. The staff are very friendly and helpful.»
