HHI vacation

The condo location was terrific. We enjoyed the huge window facing the ocean and the pool. The condo floors and balcony had alot of sand on them and it could use updating. But as usual, we enjoyed the restaurants and bars on the island and had a great time!

Short but sweet last minute vacation

Enjoyed the lovely 2 bedroom condo very much. Perfect for family of 4. Location could not be better. You can walk to a lot of restaurants and cool shops. Huge pool and hot tub, property is very well kept. Easy access to the beach as well, with security gate to enter and exit the beach which I really appreciated so the general public cannot enter the property. I would highly recommend the property.

Nice unit but living room furniture could use a refresh.

Could have had basic condiments. I had to buy salt and pepper. That should be a standard. Also the shower and the bathtub was very dangerous for seniors. I couldn’t shave my legs there was no place to put you foot on. Someone could get hurt very easily.

Beautiful Views

We enjoyed our stay at Shorewood. Great location, close to the pool & beach access. The views from the picture window and the balcony are amazing. The best! Nice kitchen. Beds were all comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook if we chose to. The master shower could use some TLC but it works and it was clean. Guest bath had some mold around the faucet, we cleaned it. Screen patio doors are hard to open and close but work. Overall a great place. The views are amazing and the location is perfect.

Excellent Location!

The condo building is right next to the path to the pool and the beach. Easy access to restrooms and showers. The huge floor to ceiling living room window and slider in the primary bedroom has an amazing beach view! Kitchen is huge with plenty of storage and a washer/dryer. They even have some surfboards to use! Will definitely stay again.

Dissappointed

We have stayed at different Shorewood Villas for many years and enjoy the location and pool for our younger grandsons. This particular unit was lacking some things: 1. Needs a deadbolt for safety reasons; 2. Need hook(s) on back of bathroom door; 3. TV didn't work 80% of time. Kept freezing up; 4. Kept losing Wifi as well; 5. Kitchen was not well supplied with pots and pans; 6. TV size(s), especially the kids bedroom, were a joke. 7. Lamp switch in 2nd bedroom is broke; 8. Deck needs a smaller table in order for a family to utilize the space.

Excellent location, beautiful view!

Beautiful condo with updated bathrooms and kitchen. And the view! The view is amazing. We watched rabbits, deer, and osprey throughout the week. Shorewood 310 is really the best: close to the pool, beach view, easy access to the parking lot. Would definitely stay here again.

Disappointing unit and complex

This property is very tired. It was not well cleaned (the property management offered to send someone in again but we did it ourselves to make sure it was done correctly. The entire unit is in desperate need of a refresh. The bed is absolutely terrible from a comfort stand point. Moldings are nasty, bathrooms are tired, window cranks are broken, screen door barely works. The hot tub that says 12 and over is filled with kids under 10 and no one is monitoring. I would not recommend this unit or complex to anyone. We stayed at another complex last year that was great...north of Coligny circle. The location is nice and the ocean was great.

Shorewood

Love staying at Shorewood. Great views! Dolphins going by. And who knew there were deer in the foliage in back of the dunes. It was cut short this year and we enjoyed watching three deer munching.

Loved our visit!

Fantastic property… would stay in same unit if we come back. Would have loved a vacuum we could use during the week… but loved garbage shoot and think u should advertise u have a washer/dryer.

Not a good Shorewood unit

We’ve frequented Shorewood a few times and keep coming back because we love the property and location. We won’t, however, stay in this unit again. There were some positives - the kitchen was nice and recently updated and the refrigerator was big and clean, that’s about where it ends. The unit was overall pretty dirty and needed updates. The rugs were gross, the comforters on the beds were stained, well past their expiration date, and literally what you’d fine on a bed at a motel 6. The pillows were so flat my kid ended up sleeping on her stuffed animal all week. The balcony was filthy to the point where our windex and paper towels could not do the job of months of caked on grime. There were no towel hooks (why god why), no overhead lights, no ceiling fans, no decent sized pan for cooking. One of the extra blankets had what looked like cigarette burns on it. The couch was stained. Also, this unit is extremely loud - we could hear everything from the unit above us. I contacted the rental company to ask if they rented that unit as well and if so, they may want to add some rugs/runners to dampen the sound, and basically they told me they don’t rent it and that if I didn’t like the noise to go up there and tell them. I totally was not going to do that (and shouldn’t have to). They also said no one has ever complained about noise before and I went to the listing and went through the reviews and it’s definitely been mentioned. My fault for not taking it more seriously - don’t make my mistake. Or at least take a white noise machine. For the amount of money we paid, I don’t expect luxury, but I do expect comfort. I was not comfortable at all.

Amazing condo. Spotless, beautiful ocean front views, fresh design and all the comforts of home. I can’t think one of negative about this place. I especially liked the keyless entry and ease of having an elevator to make unloading easier. The beach was of course amazing but the pool area was even better. I may have spent most of my time in the hot tub but the heated pool was a favorite of the whole family, big and small. We will definitely look into visiting this gem again!

Great days at the beach

We really enjoyed Shorewood 310 condo. It was very spacious and decorated beautifully. Location was excellent, pool was great, grounds were immaculate and just a shot walk to the ocean. Highly recommend this condo and Sea Turtle Getaways.

Great Location

We had a great time and really enjoyed the condo. It was a 2 minute walk to the pool and 4 minutes to the beach. It's located within a mile of lots of great restaurants and shops - you almost don't even need a car. Our only complaint is that you can hear everyone above you when they walk, open the sliding glass door or talk on the balcony - but those are minor issues.

Right Place, Wrong Time

We really enjoyed the Shorewood complex, the beach, the pool area, and our unit in particular. However, the check-in process, having to pick up keys and then later drop them off, at a different location, was made even more inconvenient by the fact that there were only 4 Uber/Lyft drivers possibly on the whole island. Of our 9 total rides, 6 were with the same driver, who said that transportation is horrible at this time. It took us 45 minutes to get one once we landed on the island. If you are planning a trip I would recommend Shorewood, but I would strongly recommend having all of your transportation ironed before you go anywhere on the island, as even car rentals are next to impossible. Due to the lack of transportation, we were left with no choice but to leave the complex a night early so that we could get a hotel room within a 2 mile walking distance from the airport (at 5:30 am mind you) so that we could catch our flight off the island on time. I'm hoping that our next visit will be less of a nuisance with rides. The only other thing I'd say about our stay was that we were unaware that beach towels were not provided until we got there. I know this more about transportation than our condo, but it put a serious damper on the whole trip. After we checked out early the lady at Sea Turtle offered her personal vehicle, which we declined since we already had the hotel backup plan booked. If rides on HHI get better, we would stay there again.

Great place!

We had a great spring break at this location! The condo was updated, clean and had all the accommodations! The pool was clean and heated, which my kids enjoyed. The only criticism is around the property manager and some seasoned guests would come around and not allow the kids in the hot tub. That was annoying, but other than that we would definitely book again!
