«It was exactly what i was looking for an old inn in the country. Having pub attached I was hoping for night life . We were also there mid week. Looked like a lot of locals comes for dinner. Its not completely out of the way but you dont pass I dont think you would pass it on any driveby. Food was good. Large portions. Staff very friendly. Room clean. Single beds. Old skeleton key for room key. Nice touches through out.»

«Var ganske rolig, bra mat, vennlige folk som jobber der. Artig å kunne gå noen skritt rett intil pubben når jeg hadde lyst. Eneste dårlig, er at det går an å høre naboer hvis de krangler (skjedde bare en gang). Barneskole ligger rett bak og barn kan høres når de er ute og leker som jeg synes var helt greit. Dette er en ekte pub i en levende samfunn. Det er ikke helt i sentrum, men bra hvis du har bil og treng en plass å sov.»

«Had a wonderful stay here. The inn was very charming, and rhe pub seemed like a popular place for the locals. Loved the area around the inn. It was a little loud from the pub up to our room at the first floor, but it was quiet after 23.30, so thats fine. Would stay again!»

Parking was initially a problem at the Stage Road car park that didn't have functioning coin kiosks and none of the on line payment methods were accepted from a US phone number. Although it was a short stay car park, the Central Car Park worked out best for us. Everything else about the hotel was great. »

We ate in the restaurant each of the nights we were there. « Nice pub with rooms, they are on the side of the pubs outside area so can be noisy. The rooms are a bit basic no draws or cupboards if you wanted to unpack during a longer stay. Very tight bathroom with the toilet close to the bath/shower and the sink to big and close to the toilet. We stayed two nights and the bed was made and the room tidied but the tea tray was not refreshed. Good service from the staff. A little overpriced for the bed & breakfast rate.»
