«This was a quick overnight stay on the drive back from Cornwall. The off-street parking and affordability were key in our purchase. Our room was clean and spacious, staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious.»

«It was a wonderful, yet too brief, one night stay. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Our meal in the informal dining/pub options was nourishing and delicious. The room was clean, large, and bright. We were able to get a room facing back garden and with views. A big pot of tea and a freshly pressed coffee were very nice at breakfast. Local walks on the moor, and to the quarry & rocks and were fab.»

«Love staying here. Lovely room with a balcony, huge bed and spotlessly clean. Staff are really nice and food is fabulous and hot. Lovely setting and so quiet. Ground floor rooms available»

«We were welcomed by the staff and shown to our room, which was spacious, clean, warm and quiet. The bed was large and comfortable with good quality pillows. The shower room was large, clean and modern. It was so reasonably priced, we expected a lot less!»

«Lovley clean room and bathroom. 2nd floor room with quite steep stairs, no lift so beware if you are not very agile! Room 6 is basically in the roof, OK in winter but would be very warm in summer and noisy with gulls around as overlooking the other rooftops. Toilet had a macerator which was noisy and didn't quite flush properly once or twice - wouldn't like that again! Loose dog in the hallway when I came back from walk- barking and growling so rang bell for owner to come out. It was owner's ...

«Excellent location, spacious room, great breakfast, beautiful balcony with amazing views, and more importantly very nice and helpful staff 🙏👏»

«We were a little disappointed with our stay and are surprised by the number of positive comments. While our room itself was clean enough, the rest of the property would benefit from a serious deep clean. The carpets on the stairs were heavily ingrained with dirt. We were also surprised to find that the dining area was carpeted, which seems an unusual and impractical choice for a breakfast room. The carpet was very dirty and had a musty smell, and there were crumbs scattered around when we came ...

«There is a lot that is exceptionally good about the hotel. The staff are extremely helpful , the food and drinks of high standard and the spa area very good. The only slight downsides were poor WiFi although this seems to affect the whole village when we visited. We’d love to come back.»

«Lovely people. Very friendly. It’s not the Ritz but you do get what you pay for, and as such, it’s excellent. We had a lovely time.»

«Rent og pent, men slitt. Frokosten var veldig enkel. Beliggenheten var nydelig oppe på en høyde. Hagen var ikke vedlikeholdt, men stor og fin. Fin atmosfære på verandaen, med gjester som var godt voksne.»

«We travelled as a couple with our dog. From arrival all staff were very friendly and welcoming and explained local walks (with a map) that we could do with our dog. The room was exceptionally well kept and clean with lovely finishes. We had a balcony looking out over lush gardens and we could hear the river flowing which was beautiful. We had dinner and breakfast both exceptionally and good value. The lounge area was lovely and great place to chill. For an old mill it looks so well kept and ...

«Kjekke to døgn, med fine omgivelser , nydelig hage å sitte i og koselige ansatte. Ikke så glad i frokosten, liker best buffet. »
