«It was a girls trip for my Mother’s 70th birthday. The cabin is very cute and has a really nice porch to sit out on and enjoy the weather and sounds of nature. I love the pictures around the cabin that tells the story of the cabin and the progress of its build and remodel. Communication from the owner Melissa was great and it fit our needs and expectations perfectly.»

«Lake Avant was in my opinion 2nd to none. My family of 30 and I enjoyed the experience of the lodge and cottage. They were both top notch clean and had everything that we needed in the kitchen. The youth enjoyed playing pickle ball and the other games on the grounds and inside. The weather was nice for first coupe days so the younger children enjoyed the outside. «We had six in our party - the main house fit us all comfortably - the place was lovely, the host extremely responsive - you don't always find that - and the location was great for access to Wilkesboro. Will back next year unless someone reads this and books it first.»

«My husband, 13 month old and I all had a great stay on Lake Norman! We were only there for a couple nights for a short getaway but could have definitely stayed longer to enjoy the area more. We enjoyed fishing from the dock (caught a MASSIVE 40 pound catfish) and the location was very peaceful. Thanks again!»

«We had a wonderful time. Casa Del Rio met all of our needs. Home was clean and ready to go. Plenty of dishes, pans and kitchen equipment. Air conditioning was spot on. The view was wonderful. Something for everyone. Could easily dock the boat. Had deep water. The only thing that could be difficult for those with disabilities is that there are quite a few stairs. We all did well with it and it was a short walk to the docks. Loved the location because it had fewer boat traffic. Thank you»

«We were all delighted with Leatherwood and the cabin. Very well stocked, super clean, great view, comfy beds and plenty of space. Not hard to find, and the staff were great. The last 1.4 miles are a bit windy and narrow, but we didn't find it to be a problem. Worth it to sit out on the back deck and enjoy the quiet!»

«The house and property is beautiful. Plenty of room for a large family. It was not very clean. Cobwebs in corners, windows, on lights and lamps. 1 of the bathrooms had mold in the shower. The hardwood floors were beautiful, however you could see dust under furniture and along stairs. Upstairs mattress in master was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Downstairs tub in master leaked into basement bathroom. Kitchen was not very clean, Grease on stove and back splash. Coffee maker had dried and ...

«This is a beautiful spot! It rained and stormed our entire weekend there but we were still able to sit under the gazebo on the dock and have a relaxing weekend away. The host was courteous and allowed us our privacy but was available if needed. The neighbor was kind as well. They left us a basket of snacks and a couple of bottles of water which was appreciated since we arrived later in the evening. The living area is well equipped and has everything you may need. «I rented this home as a place friends & family could stay as well as the venue for my husband's 50th surprise party. It had everything my guests & myself could want. Lots of space to spread out while still allowing for large groups to gather. The teens loved the game room & movie theater. Fully stocked kitchen so you can cook anything you desire. The only drawback are all the stairs but us old folks managed just fine! Overall 5 star location & highly recommend.»
