«This was a lovely heritage property located about a 15 minute walk to the centre of York. Staff were very welcoming and the room was spotless and comfortable. (If stairs are an issue for you, there can be many depending on your room floor - just two into the house) Breakfast was delicious and we also enjoyed the communal sitting room and the private parking. Overall, a lovely stay with great value. »

«Perfect location, our room had a view over the river and the city, parking in private hotel garage. Easy to find.
Lots of restaurants and cafes around the river on both sides, Sainsbury's 2 min from the hotel. 10 min walk to the Shambles.
Nice staff.
The only bad thing is the very hard beds and an outdated bathroom with only one soap for hair and body combined. No aircondition. But big spacious rooms. The hotel also had a lift.»

«Lovely hotel. We had a room for 3 of us and a dog and was really spacious. Breakfast selection was great and plenty of space in the bar restaurant each evening/morning. Walking distance to the town centre and the river. Our only complaint was how hot the room was even though none of the radiators were on. But we just left the window open all day and it was a much more comfortable temperature. »
