1. Charming 1-Bedroom In Cozy, Rural Hesperus - Perfect For A Quiet Getaway

Hesperus

«The location is amazing for a peaceful, quiet get away! Directions via GPS didn’t include road 122, that is important in finding the location. Pretty far from high traffic destinations of Colorado, so a drive to the city is required if you are looking for that kind of activity. The animals at the farm are so sweet and friendly, I truly felt closer to nature out here. The Mountain View in the morning is unbeatable! The host was so kind and helpful. Being out in the woods I expected more bugs to ...

«Room was decently clean. They do not clean daily but every other day. This may be the standard now as I haven’t stayed in a hotel room for a while now. Room was nice enough, hotel itself seemed dated. “ Free” Breakfast was really good- 3 out of the 4 days we were there (one day was not so hot). Staff were friendly and helpful. Be warned though, they charge for everything. This may be a City of Durango thing more than a hotel thing, to be fair. Overall it was decent, but next time I would ...

«It’s was a convenient, walkable location to the Narrow Gauge train and downtown. Breakfast was not included but was a good on-site option; however, service was slow. They offered free cookies but should have had other option for those that don’t like or allergic to nuts. But the cookies were the only free option even though bottled water said they were complimentary- it was only for “members”.»

13. The General Palmer Hotel

Durango historiske sentrum

«Everything about the General Palmer was perfect. The old world charm coupled with modern conviences. The hotel is so charming that it transports you back a century. The breakfast room is right off the enclosed porch that has tables for an intimate breakfast looking out into town. The hotel is clean, extremely comfortable with great beds and very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed here because we took the Durango / Silverton train which was right next door, very easy walking distance. Highly ...
