The only inconvenience was the host would show up without any notice. Coming to check to see if we needed the trash taken or needed anything else is nice and fine but would have liked a notice that they were coming by.»

«We vacationed in Buckhannan so we could attend the barbecue contest. We had a wonderful time. We even accidentally locked ourselves out and the host responded and got us access within a half hour. The accomodations were updated and tastefully decorated. The hottub was an absolute blessing after hiking. I would stay here again. I would definitely rate them as an A.»

«We have gone to the area every year for Thanksgiving week for 4 years now. We have family in the area and my husband hunts. What a great and convenient place for us as it is close to family. House was better than expected. It was very clean and check in was very easy. Brenda was very accommodating as we drove from Florida overnight. I would highly recommend a stay here and would definitely book again in the future.»

«A very peaceful and secluded place to stay that is still close to Snowshoe. Plenty of room to spread out both inside and outside. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and plenty of toiletries provided. No one mentions the soothing sounds of the water running from the front porch! There are extra great condition mattresses and plenty of blankets and pillows. Family games to choose from and a nice smoker/charcoal grill. «Excellent weekend getaway, so peaceful and relaxing. The layout is perfect and we had everything we needed to cook our meals. It snowed and was cold outside so we didn't venture out but I can imagine that the view would be spectacular in the summer months. »

The downstairs bed / bath worked well for 80+ year old dad with arthritic knees. The bedroom suite upstairs was helpful for the older couple with us too, for privacy and nighttime bathroom trips. We all appreciated the stock of flavored coffee and the hot chocolate in the kitchen! Loved the fact that we could all convene comfortably in both dining room and living room. ...
