Fabulous stay
A lovely restful stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and very friendly. Food was amazing and they catered wonderfully for our gluten and lactose problems. Good bar and there are two sitting rooms, one with a small billiard table in. There are two electric charging points in the car park (7KWh). The area has amazing walks, including a 1 mile walk to Hawes.

Stay at the Stone House
Excellent as usual. Room, food, service all first class. Nothing too much trouble. Lovely historic building well looked after. Peaceful and cosy. Conservatory rooms are delightful whatever the weather. Excellent outdoor seating in well-kept garden.

Great hotel
Hotel was in a beautiful location and a great venue. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room had everything that was required. Excellent breakfast, dinner menu could maybe be updated in terms of the meal choices and a little pricey but very tasty and prompt service. Overall, I would definitely return to this hotel.

A lovely property in a great location, surrounded by beautiful countryside. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Wonderful food. Will definitely visit again - thank you everyone at the Stone House for a lovely relaxing weekend.

This felt a safe environment in which to stay in Covid-times. The staff were scrupulously careful about hygiene and seating arrangements. We reserved a time slot for each meal, so there weren't too many people eating at once. We had a lovely, relaxing week-end and look forward to coming back.

What an amazing hotel, set in lovely grounds and just a short walk into Hawes. Ideally located for various walks in the Dales. The hotel is relaxing and peaceful which is what we like, the perfect place to chill and have a drink and read. Rooms are great and clean, the food is amazing and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful

Loved the hotel - very friendly staff, great food, superb location. Handy for Hawes, walking, Wensleydale Creamery and lots of waterfalls.

Excellent
I have stayed here several times now and each stay has been excellent. It is a very nice area, the food is very good and the staff are really friendly and welcoming!

Best part of our trip
Truly a beautiful and idyllic stay in the Yorkshire dales. The location could not be any more gorgeous and the hotel is as cozy and picturesque as could be. The staff are all very friendly, the food delicious, the lounge where you wait for dinner is warm and welcoming, and they even leave a fresh bottle of local milk in your room's fridge. I loved every aspect of this hotel

Delightful
A lovely place in a beautiful part of the country. Some excellent walks through the dales right at the doorstep. We stayed only one night and wished it was more. The room was very comfortable and very well appointed. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Dinner in the restaurant was very nice followed by coffee in the comfortable lounge area. Breakfast was the typical Yorkshire treat.

Stone House Hawes
Stone House Hotel in the stunningly beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire Dales is all you could want from a country house hotel. The house oozes history and genteel comfort whilst the friendly and knowledgeable staff do their best to cater to your every need. We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay.

Stunning.
Stunning setting. This a really nice hotel, tucked away in a beautiful part of the country. My room was very comfortable and I enjoyed a good dinner in the hotel restaurant. Staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Will return. Highly recommended.

Idyllic location for a charming country house. Beautiful building, very comfortable rooms. Staff were very helpful with many suggestions for outings and walks in the area. We loved staying here. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Valentines treat
This trip was my husbands Valentines treat to us both. It is a beautiful hotel in a superb setting. We would love to return in the summer to make the most of the walking available. The staff were extremely friendly food excellent and very quiet.

A secret romantic hideaway!
The hotel was beautiful. It was a traditional country retreat with open fires, wonderful food and bursting with character. Highly recommended for a romantic break.

Style over substance
Disappointing evening meal. Food not up to the standard expected for the price charged. The veal was quite tough and the vegetables were luke warm. The room was quite cold because the radiator was in the wrong place. The upgraded room provided little in extras to warrant the increased price, the chairs being threadbare. The room was located in an annexe requiring a short cold walk to the main facilities. A special weekend was disappointing.
