Good location, cozy, well-equipped. Decent parking nearby. No noise from neighbours. 15 minute stroll to Hawes High Street. Limited space outdoors so no space for children to play outside. Easily accommodated 6 adults and 2 children.

Lovely Autumn Stay
We really loved Yarn House! Three generations came to celebrate my mums birthday and we had the best weekend! Everything you need is there and the house itself is wonderful! The sound of the river was so relaxing and the short walk down into the village was very pleasant. We can’t wait to come back!

Superb accommodation in a beautiful location
We were pleasantly surprised by how good the accommodation in Yarn House is: the property is fully-equipped with top-quality equipment and appliances throughout, and the preparation/cleanliness was excellent. We would definitely recommend this property to others, and hope to stay there again in the future.

Perfect location for exploring North Yorkshire
We had a fantastic week in Gayle. Parking was easy and only a few yards away from the front door. The house was comfortable and exactly as shown in the pictures. Hawes is literally a 10 minute walk away from downtown Hawes. There are several really delicious places to eat in Hawes. There are plenty of walks right from the house. And more places within a short drive to explore. We highly recommend this house.

Wonderful cosy spot
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely spot. It was in a great location for exploring the Dales, and was very well-equipped and comfortable. We loved the Christmas decorations! Only downside was no towels provided.

Fabulous house in a beautiful location, very homely and had everything we need.
Would recommend to anyone, the house was perfect and the location was beautiful, we had an fantastic stay and local amenities were great. The house had everything you needed, plenty of space and was like being at home, comfortable and relaxing. The river and little waterfalls right outside the front door was amazing. Would love to go again!! Communication with the owners was spot on. Thank you for our wonderful stay!!!

Lovely property
This property is lovely. Has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. It's located across from a beautiful waterfall. The weather was great so we could sit on the benches at the front whilst the kids played in the water. And it's only a short walk from Hawes. The owner responded to any queries I had straight away and check in was really easy. Would definitely recommend.

Jolly weekend for 5 old friends.
We always cook for ourselves when away for the weekend (6 women) and the cooking equipment was fantastic, especially oven pans and 3 frying pans! You need a better grater - OK for cheese but not carrots/ veg. The top door of the freezer compartment broke but we could see that this has happened before and had been glued, but it hadn’t worked.

Beautiful retreat only half mile from Hawes
The cottage was lovely, tranquil, scenic, had comfortable beds and ample parking. Great for a walking holiday and only 15 minutes stroll from 4 local pubs, villages shop, chippy and Indian restaurant.

A wonderful cottage in the heart of the dales!
The cottage was simply superb. An amazing space that was more than enough for our group of 7. The place was incredibly well-equipped, with more than enough kitchen equipment for us to prepare and epic Christmas feast with. The Chrismas decorations were an amazing touch and the snow we had on boxing day made it the perfect winter wonderland. Honestly, we couldn't have been happier with the place, an 11 out of 10! A huge thanks to Gary, he was an amazing host and helpped to put our minds at ease ahead of booking, letting us know that there was indeed plenty of cutlery and crockery for 7 and a Christmas dinner (and we were certainly not disappointed!), and for answering all of our questions along the way. We would, no scratch that - we WILL stay again! (There definitely weren't talks of making it an annual ritual!)

Idyllic bolthole in Yorkshire Dales
Well equipped & spacious townhouse style property in small hamlet of Gayle with the bonus of a lovely 10 min walk into the bustling market town of Hawes. Lots to do & see around the area as well as stunning countryside walks for all ages & abilities. Youngest enjoyed nothing more than playing in the beck just outside the front door. Gary & Samantha answered all our questions & gave lots of local info to help our stay, highly reccomend the property & location.

Yarn cottage ideally situated for walking in the dales.
Property is in a stunning location and it was lovely to sit on the benches at the front and view the beck and the hills. The lovely town of Hawes is only 10 minutes walk away, and the Wensleydale creamery only 5 minutes walk. Very attractive living room and master bedroom, and very reliable internet. We had a wonderful time. The property is ideally placed for lovely walks, right on the doorstep; no need to get the car out if you don't want to.

Fantastic stay in a lovely house and amazing location
We have just returned from a week in this fantastic property. The house was really comfortable and very well equipped. But by far its best point is the location. The children played in the beck everyday whilst we sat in the sunshine and watched, only a ten minute stroll into Hawes ... we will definitely be back!

Relaxation and walking
Ideally placed for walks in the Dales right from the front door. Beautiful location. Comfortable cottage with everything you'd have at home. Very clean and felt that it was thoughtfully Covid secure. We have no qualms with recommending Yarn House during these times for 2 small households or a large family. Close to Hawes with all its amenities, but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. Will definitely visit again.

A lovely house in beautiful scenery.
We organised a get together for my daughter's 50th & grandson's 13th birthday. It was wonderful weekend for the family, though we stayed on for the rest of the week for a holiday. A lovely house set in some beautiful scenery it was a nice relaxing holiday, after been at home for all those months due to the pandemic. The house was comfortable, clean & followed the rules needed for situation we in at moment.

lovely house in a great location. Took a while to get the house warm. the bedrooms are a little small in the twins for 2 adults, lots of crockery and cooking utensils in the kitchen. its in a fantastic position in the village and only a 10 minute walk in to Hawes. we would definaitely stay again.

Great review, many thanks, the house took awhile to warm up as a minor repair was needed on the boiler, so heating had been off for a few days. Apologies, would be great to see you again!

Lovely little cottage in a great location
Certainly big enough for 8 adults. We ate out both nights (plenty of eateries in Hawes) but the kitchen would have had everything needed. Lovely walks from the house (close to the pennine way) and a nice gentle stroll down to Hawes (although uphill all the way back). A great couple of days with good friends.
