Fantastisk opphold i hjertet av Hanoi. Eksepsjonelt god service fra alle ansatte! Vi sjekket ut dra hotellet før hotellfrokosten begynte, og da pakket de ansatte frokostposer og kaffe/ te som vi kunne ha med oss på reisen.

This was our favorite hotel in all that we stayed at during our vietnam trip. The hotel manager, ken and the entire staff made our stay memorable. Our suite, room #802 was amazing and our vip perks were generous. I would definitely stay here again should we ever visit vietnam again and i would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

Our stay at Grand du Lac Hotel was memorable from the time we checked in. Upon arrival we were greeted by the staff with a drink and they easily set up a couple of tours for us based on our preferences. Our room was great facing the street with a balcony. Breakfast offered a lot of delicious choices. Rooftop bar and hotel restaurant were top notch. But above all, the service was excellent from start to finish. Jack, Frankie and the rest of the staff really went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. If you come to Hanoi, this is the place to stay at, you won’t be disappointed.

Great location for visiting Hanoi. Just a 5-minute walk from Hoàn Kiếm Lake and the Hanoi old quarter, and a few meters from the St. Joseph Cathedral. The staff and hotel service were excellent; drinks and cold towels on arrival, ginger tea with evening fold-down service and a helpful team at the front door for anything we needed including helping stop the traffic so we could cross the street to our taxi! Grab is a local version of Uber and the hotel staff helped me set up my account so could use the ride service while in Hanoi (easy and good value). The hotel re-opened after covid in August 2023. We had an internal window room, but this was fine as we were either sleeping from jet lag or out and about around Hanoi. Breakfast was good with a variety of western and local foods and with nice views of Hanoi and the Cathedral. The road around Hoàn Kiếm Lake is closed to traffic over the weekend which made for a pleasant stroll around the lake and into the old quarter which was full of small shops, markets, bars and restaurants.

This is an absolute gem of a hotel in Hanoi! So close to the lake and the best restaurants and shops. The bets thing about the hotel is the staff. They are amazing, they will help you navigate the city, they will reccommend the be3st places to go and above all make you feel like a valued customer. A special thanks to Mr. Ken and his team. He helped us book last minute flights (due to a silly mkistake from our part, we needed to rebook them), and he made everything so easy. We will definitely be back!

We overall enjoyed our stay. The hotel is conveniently located in the old quarters and it's easy to reach a lot of the sights per foot. The staff is very helpful and supportive. They personally lead us to our room and we were treated with a small welcome gift. The rooms and breakfast offerings (compared to other hotels in the city within the same price category) are a bit lacking. The interior has seen better days. Although a fairly decent breakfast selection has been offered, the items could've been slightly higher quality.

We stayed 3 nights at Grand Hotel du LAC in Hanoi. The staff were excellent, they provided the best services, information and very helpful to guide us to visit Hanoi attractions. Le personnel est remarquable de gentillesse et de prévenance afin , notamment, de vous arranger le transport depuis l aeroport ou bien une croisière sur la baie d'ha long avec leur partenaire qui est vraiment parfait.

Very small gym in the basement. Very humid and hot in there.
Avoid room “with window but no view”. The “window” opens to a ventilation shaft

Très coquet hôtel. Souci du détail. Très bien situé. Personnel très attentionné et stylé. Chambre un peu petite mais on doit garder à l’esprit qu’il s’agit de la ville d’Hanoï où le mètre carré est très cher.

Fantastic!
Every guess receives an amazing welcome from the moment they enter the hotel. Thae staff are so helpful and kind. My room was spacious well furnished and importantly quiet! The hotel location was close to everything I wanted to see and do. I would definitely book this hotel without hesitation. A+

Vietnam can be challenging for travel... even more so as an elder but seasoned.
Your staff (especially the front team) shows professional hospitality above the standard in industry.

The staff and hotel were great, we stayed on three seperate occasions during our trip in Vietnam, Staying in both the window and internal window roooms. Cannot compliment the staff enough, they were super helpfull, hotel was quiet with no road noise, easy to walk into the old quarter ( 1 min). Everything worked, clean and service perfect.

This hotel is in a great location, walking distance to most tourist attractions. The breakfast buffet included was not bad - though we only went once out of our 3 night stay as there is so much good food outside the hotel. The room is very small for vietnam standards but you really are paying for the location. The gym is small but has everything you need to get in a quick workout. My only complaint is because I booked the rooms without windows, the room was very dark including the bathroom. I would recommend installing brighter lights in those rooms as it was very hard to do my makeup (no issues for the gents).
