Perfect for family getaway

Beautiful home!!!

Our large family had an epic stay at this beautiful beach house. The home itself has everything you could want or need. Very short walk to the beach. The team at Makana properties is excellent. They were kind, thoughtful and professional. We vacationed here in Hanalei when our children were younger and now they are grown, married and we are grandparents. This vacation will forever stay with me! With love and many thank you's, nana xx

Dream House in Hanalei

We had such a wonderful time at this property in our favorite place! The location is perfect and the home is simply beautiful. We have no negative complaints whatsoever about the home, however there was quite a bit of rooster noise throughout the nights that kept us up. The chickens are native to the island so it comes with the territory! We can’t wait to come back!! 5+ stars

Best place to stay in Hanalei

This property was exceptional in every way. The place is very large, beautifully decorated, a well stocked kitchen and tons of beach supplies too! The location though could not have been better. The walk to Hanalei Beach is one minute away, and about 5 minutes to the town. It is a great base for everything but we never wanted to leave!!

Perfect spot on the Bay!

This home is beautiful and in a dreamy location! It’s a short walk to the town of Hanalei and an even shorter walk to the beach. With three lanais and a view of the beach and mountains, you won’t want to leave! The property managers could not have been more accommodating and responsive to our needs/questions. All six adults as well as the one and a half year old loved our time on Hanalei Bay!

Fun was had by all!

We had an absolutely amazing time at this gorgeous home in the perfect location. My boys walked to surfing every morning while I jogged around the quaint town or drank coffee on the comfortable deck. Nalu Hanalei is Awesome

Nalu Hanalei is an outstanding rental property. It’s location on Weke Road is ideal. Although not situated directly beachfront, the ocean views from inside the home and from the upstairs lanai are absolutely incredible because of an undeveloped beachfront lot across the street. The home’s interior is beautiful, comfortable, spacious and as represented in online photos. Split system air conditioning keeps home cool during hot afternoons. We were a group of 6, family and friends. The young adults stayed downstairs with their own two bedrooms, bath, kitchen, living area, and lanai. We would gather upstairs for group meals at either of the large dining tables, one inside, one outside on lanai. Kitchen is well-outfitted with everything one may need for food prep, serving, etc. The town of Hanalei was a short walk away. We walked to Dolphin Fish Market and picked up delicious fresh fish, sushi and poke. Bay is perfect for swimming and bodysurfing. The clean, soft sand beach is a great place to relax, play and enjoy the day. Wonderful hikes nearby. There are no large resorts in the town of Hanalei. It is a special place.

Very Nice Home

It's an ocean front property at a "peak a-boo" price. Due to the large lots in front of the sand, the ocean is a little bit of a walk, but with nothing but an open field between you and the ocean, you can still see the ocean every day. Excellent home, wish we could have stayed longer.

Perfect Stay

The location of this property was amazing. We come to Hanalei every year and would definitely stay in this property again. Larry, the property manager and owner, was incredibly helpful. He worked with me to coordinate an early check-in, stopping by to ensure everything was perfect. The views off the deck were similar to those in an oceanfront property. Guests staying in this property will not be disappointed. We were sad to leave.

Wonderful experience in Hanalei Bay

My husband and I rented this home for over a month and had such a wonderful experience. The owners were easy to communicate with, everything was as advertised in the listing, and the view sitting on the upstairs lanai was better than pictured! Additionally, it was very clear to us that the owners take pride in their rental properties and put the time and resources into maintaining them. The house has a great set up for larger groups, and two of the four bedroom closets can fit pack n plays (for those of you considering bringing young children like we did). The beach access point across the street is ideal, as well as the brief walk to Hanalei Bay Pier at the end of the road. We hope to one day return to this beautiful property. Thank you!

Ideal location within a walk of everything to do and see in Hanalei. Has all of the gear needed for a day on the beach. Very roomy and comfortable home that’s ideal for couples or families with kids.
