«Our first impression was good, until we noticed all the stains on the carpet in our room. The Lady Byng room. They may have been cleaned, but the stains remained.
The breakfast, including the presentation, was lovely.
The lounge was lovely with interesting artifacts.
Parking was convenient.
I went to the office at 10:45 on the morning of our departure to buy some coffee; the office sign said closed from 11-4.»

«I laughed when the motel came up as I remembered it from my childhood. I didnt know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised by our stay. The rooms weren’t fancy but very clean. I wasn’t bothered by any traffic noise and the bed was very comfortable (best pillows ever). The staff were all wonderful and friendly. The breakfast did the trick and the great room was nice. Awesome to have tea, coffee, and specialty coffees available at all times. The guests mingling and having the pool table ...

«Location was everything about the empress. Great food at the hotel and near with walkable access to the heart of Victoria. Highly recommend renting a car as a lot of cool castles and beaches are close drives away. The garden was fantastic and live music and salmon at the hotel restaurant was great .»
