«We were pleasantly surprised by this little place. We were honestly just looking for a cheap place to lay our heads for the night on a long trip home. «We did not get our room cleaned and when asked about it. Staff said that housekeeping clean every other day. I would have liked our room tidy up each day.»

«Breakfast hours were good from 6am-10am. Pool hours are very inconvenient should be from dawn until midnight for people who like a morning swim or a late night swim(especially when the desk is manned by staff). My rooms thermostat was broken. I noticed it after returning from a short trip to get food. I set it to 68F and it was at 98F when I returned 4 hours later. Old southern charm, but with emphasis on the old— our room was as clean as housekeeping could possibly make it, but the carpet had large stains, shower door can’t stay shut, paint on bathroom ceiling and parts of walls cracked and peeling. «There are no rooms that are accessible for handicapped people. The stairs have a handrail on only one side with no elevator and no ground floor rooms. When I asked about how I would be able to get my bags and myself upstairs to my room, the desk clerk commented rather snidely that I should look for a different hotel. Not the slightest sign of sympathy or offer of assistance. The hotel is over 100 years old and it shows its age… not in a good way.»

«I enjoyed my stay as usual, I will say this last time they have changed the steps down to the beach, the last step going down is super steep I did hit the sand the wrong way and dislocated my knee going down. I do suggest you be careful there are no railings to hold onto going down those steps onto the sand. I would suggest railing as this is a safety hazard.»

«Being an old schoolhouse definitely made it unique. The room was small but didn't feel like it. The view over the courtyard was peaceful and the live music in the evenings was nice way to end the day. If you want quiet before 9 pm then I would look elsewhere but we thought it made for a nice evening.
