Me and my fiancé stayed at the courtyard a week ago and had really no issues up until check out. After we check out, we left the island and I noticed a charge in my bank account for $150. I called the hotel immediately have someone explain to me why I was being charged that amount. The girl at the front desk informed me that it was because a housekeeper went up to our room to clean it but instead recorded a video to show the desk staff that our room was trashed and left a complete mess and damaged parts of the room. I informed her that this cannot be correct that I’m 35 and a cop and do not party and I’ve never in my life once left a hotel room in disarray. In fact at the end of my stay, I always pile all the sheets and towels together and organize all the trash in one bag try to help out the staff with cleaning. When I informed the young lady about this, she immediately said she was going to refund the full amount back to my bank account and I will see it this week. I have yes to be refunded that amount back full amount has been charged and came out of my bank. I am very disgusted with this experience and now will no longer be booking with Marriott. I will be contacting their corporate headquarters to resolve this issue and get my refund.
