Charming & serene waterfront home on the Piankatank River in Gloucester County, VA!

This one level 1400sf cottage (with sweeping views of the river from almost every room) has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a sun room a cozy screened porch, beautiful living room with ROKU tv and a wood burning fireplace, fully stocked kitchen, waterside decks, a terrific fire pit, gas grill, AMAZING dock with stunning views and adirondack chairs, kayaks, paddle board, yard games and more! It is both beautiful and comfy, and we promise you will feel at home right away and not want to leave.

We are experienced hosts with more than 300 five star reviews. No hosting agency to deal with - Scott and I are always just a text or call away. We are dedicated to your having a terrific stay, and know you'll agree that this is the perfect place to kick back and enjoy river life at any time of year.

Wonderful home. Fully equipped kitchen, fabulous view from screened porch and deck. I have stayed in many, many VRBO homes and this one ranks in my top five. My only concern was the very small bathroom near the guest rooms but it was a small inconvenience against all the pluses in this home. Host was very accommodating.

As soon as you open the front door you know you made the right choice for your Waterfront getaway! Cozy and charming, yet plenty of room to spread out and enjoy both the indoors an outdoors. Several seating areas to choose from and a wonderful dock for those fishermen and women. We would recommend it anyone looking for a home away from home while on vacation.

This house was excellent. Spent a week there for 4th of July 2025.

We had a blast for the 4th of July. First of the week was really hot but by the weekend, the weather was perfect.The house is great, everything there you need.we stayed on the dock or in the water most of the time. we took our boat, which was great for the kids to jump in water from the boat.I highly recommend this place.Betsy was a doll to work with as well.

Sittin’ on the Dock

This property has pretty much everything for sunny or rainy days. Many nooks and crannies to relax in—indoor and out. If you want to relax and be close to nature—this is your spot. The house was well maintained and clean. It had an old cozy vibe to it but updated. Betsy the owner was lovely to deal with. We did NOT want to leave and you won’t either.

Great Place To Relax

I cannot say enough about this property. The kitchen is very well stocked, everything was very clean. Very quiet neighborhood. The sunrises and the sunsets were unbeatable from the dock! This is a beautiful place to go, disconnect and enjoy peace. The area is also very rich in history, and there is lots to explore! We will definitely visit again in warmer months.

Christmas Shopping weekend with friends

This was a very nice central location for us to shop all over the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck and also going to Williamsburg for the Christmas tour. The home was nicely situated in a quiet neighborhood right on the river and we had beautiful views and lots of seating to enjoy the river. Everything was as it was advertised and was actually nicer in person. We hope to come back again in the spring before our daughter’s softball schedules get going in full swing to have a nice break before.

Gloucester Stay

We spent 4 nights at this beautiful property. The property is accurately represented in the description and the photos. I honestly cannot think of a thing that could have improved our stay. It is a peaceful, beautiful location. The river is gorgeous and we spent much time on the dock eating meals and just relaxing. Betsy was wonderful in checking in on us. We loved the location and hope to return.

Holly Trail

The property has a beautiful location on the Piankatank River. The house is well-stocked with pots, pans and dishes. We were provided with plenty of bath towels. Our favorite hang-out was the screened-in-porch, where we watched herons, ospreys, seagulls and one or two bald eagles.

Wonderful getaway

Everything was as stated in the listing. The house was clean and comfortable. Beds were comfortable, loved the decor, wi-fi and A/C worked well. Might sound strange but all the lighting in the house was nice and bright (for my eyes that need reading glasses and lots of light to see or read). The location on the river was so peaceful and relaxing for our family of 4 for a last summer getaway before sending kids back to college. We caught plenty of crabs and even a catfish in the crab traps. Kayaking on the river was so peaceful, saw beautiful sunrise and sunsets on the dock. We cooked mostly while there and the kitchen had everything we needed. Food Lion was not far, convenient to get anything we forgot/needed. Ventured into town on one of the rainy days and tried Olivia's in the Village (owner and employees were so welcoming there), great food for the price. Also grabbed dessert from Sweet Tooth Cafe and Bakery to satisfy the sweet craving. Owners were very responsive to any questions we had throughout our stay. Highly recommend this home for a wonderful, relaxing stay on the river. Thank you!

Perfect Getaway for some R & R

This home won't disappoint. Lots of room to spread out, love the decorations and furnishings. Best stocked kitchen we have seen in all the places we have rented. We did not leave the place. We hung out on the dock most of the day. The sunrises and sunsets are something you will want to see! We hated to leave. We will go back.

Lovely home & great owner

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this waterfront home. The home was in great condition and offered everything we needed for our stay. The space is comfortable and very welcoming. I loved the combination of temperature control between the AC and the curling fans in multiple rooms. The fire pit is a nice touch with plenty of wood provided. The backyard leads down to a dock with nice seating with a beautiful view for sunrises or sunsets. Betsy, the owner, was very responsive and friendly in communications and a notebook is there on arrival providing everything you need from home details to local recommendations. We would definitely recommend!

Excellent and quaint cottage

Such a great getaway cottage with an amazing dock. Plenty of amenities so all you have to really do is show up with some groceries and enjoy your stay. We went kayaking, watched the sunset and enjoyed the inside living space. Will definitely plan to stay again.

Beautiful get away

Our family (husband and I, 21, 18 and 14 year old) rented this home for a get away in March. The property is private and right on the water. It is about 15 minutes to the main road for groceries. It was too cold for us to get out on the water, but the owners do provide kayaks and life vests for guests. There is plenty of space and seating in the house. The kitchen has everything you need to make meals and linens are conveniently included. The master bathroom is large, but the other bathroom is very small. The bedrooms are comfortable and there is plenty of storage space. The house is decorated in calming colors with lots of whimsical touches. The owners are quick to respond and respectful of their guests.

Lovely waterfront home

Our family of three had a wonderful stay! The house is clean, nicely furnished, and very comfortable. We were there in the off-season (early March) so it was still a little too cold to spend much time outside, but the screened-in patio and dock area are great - we'll have to come back sometime in the summer to take advantage of the outdoor area! Great for a family, there are two comfortable indoor living rooms so you can spread out or cozy up together. The second bathroom is super-tiny, it's fine for kids but could be a challenge for a larger or older person. The en suite bathroom in the main bedroom is large and nice. Overall we loved it and would definitely stay again.

Everything you need

My husband and I traveled down on our motorcycles to this property. The home was meticulously clean and had everything we could need and more! Would love to come back in warmer weather so we could enjoy the water more!
