«Stayed for two nights as a stop over whilst going homeward. Wanted to have a look around the area. Room was small but adequate. Clean with en-suite shower. Ate in the dining area of the pub both nights and enjoyed the food. Informal but friendly service by all, and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Recommend a walk to the canal and then the walk to Gloucester on the tow path. It’s well paved and flat and about three miles.»

«The room was beautifully decorated, very clean and with all the expected amenities. There were no staff on site (the key is left in a lock box). The only thing was the bed - it was extremely hard and impacted our ability to sleep well. If there was a topper or a different mattress I would stay again in a pinch, or just stay ...

«The rooms are ok, but the food is a bit inconsistent for our our stay. The breakfast was fine but the service was slow due to lack of staff. (20 mins for some gluten free toast) The British obsession with dogs such that they welcome them into the hotel is somewhat puzzling as food is being served in the bar yet dogs are being feed by the owners from the table! The hotel has an odour of dog which really should not be there. No dogs should be around any place that is serving food!!! However the ...
