The location was great. Close to a grocery store and very walkable to the city center and the lake. We appreciated the kitchen and we were able to cook several meals there. We would stay here again if we come back to Geneva.
Appartement calme, joli et bien situé dans la ville de Genève. Espace bien divisé, propre et très éclairé. Contact facile avec Helena et rapide intervention de la propriétaire au besoin. Le balcon aurait été bien agréable si le temps avait été plus chaud! Nous y serions resté plus longtemps!
This was my second stay at this central, serene home in Geneva. The home is between two of the best neighborhoods in Geneva — Champel and Eaux-Vives. The window light is stunning, the chance to have coffee on the balcony is unbelievably peaceful, and access to any part of central Geneva is easy by foot or by bus. I dearly love this place and am sad to say goodbye, but I would love to stay again soon and would highly encourage anyone coming to Geneva to stay here.
This is an excellent apartment and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay in Geneva , the apartment is in a good area and on the airport bus route, and looks the same as the photos . Helena was very helpful in making our stay in Geneva a wonderful trip would definitely go back again
First, the apartment was beautifully designed, with full windows looking out at trees and a very spacious balcony. It had ALL the amenities in a fully equipped kitchen, Its location was key- very attractive neighborhood convenient to the bus system.Second, Helene from start to finish couldn’t have been more helpful and efficient and flexible. One of the very best Vrbo hosts in our experience !
The Orion was very comfortable, clean, quiet and well appointed. It is also very well located in regard to bus and train stops, allowing for us to get to our daughter’s apartment (and many other places) quickly and conveniently. We enjoyed having it as a place to retreat to at the end of the day and have a leisurely morning routine. Mage bakery and Coop grocery store gave us great options for eating “at home!”
The apartment is a 15 min walk or 5 min bus ride to the lake, bus stops virtually outside the apartment. Number 25 The apartment is very clean and beautifully decorated. It’s extremely comfortable with a balcony to sit on for meals or drinks which overlooks glorious trees. Helena our host could not have been more helpful. Very responsive to communication. There is a shop opposite which seems to be open 24 hours and a fantastic restaurant called Coco - expensive compared to the UK but the food was top notch. We loved Geneva, we loved the apartment.
Superb location for exploring Geneva & nearby environs
Great apartment--spacious and relaxing. Love the huge tub. Great for having a hot soak after traipsing around Geneva or other nearby towns all day long. Super quiet locarion with easy access to Geneve's buses and trams. Made everything simple and enjoyable.

Super cute studio near a main street and one of the major Geneva train stations, but set back so it’s very quiet. The host is super nice and responded to all questions promptly. The apartment was clean and secure. We loved it here!

Stay in Geneva
Great location…public transportation is very accessible.
We would have loved a raclette/fondue pot in the apartment. Check in was very easy.
What a beautiful stay in a well located and charming flat in Geneva. Transportation was very easy to Cornivan Station, and access to great locations in and around Geneva were easy to navigate. This was my 2nd time staying at this beautiful flat, and it was just as charming if not more so with the beautiful fall colors!
The apartment was very nice with lots of light and was comfortable. I loved that it was set back from the street and there were nice trees around it. It was very hot so we slept with all the windows open which was nice because the birds sang so beautifully every morning. The day after we arrived, I went and got a fan and that made it much more comfortable. I left it there so others can use it too. The location is good and once I learned my way around, I found a big grocery nearby that simplified preparing meals. It’s a ten minute walk to the Old Town and fifteen minutes to the lake. We were so fortunate that there was a music festival going on in the Old Town while we were there.
My experience in Helena’s Geneva Orion apartment was nothing short of excellent. The apartment is spacious, welcoming, and situated in a beautiful neighborhood of Geneva. Helena was kind and prompt when addressing any questions of mine that came up. It was a pleasure to live there!
We were visiting Geneva to help our daughter and son-in-law with their newborn. (Their apartment was a 5 minute walk so the location was ideal.) Location also ideal because it close to Eaux-Vives shopping and restaurants and the local public transportation. The apartment is very spacious and bright and has everything you could need. Several nights during our stay we prepared dinner for 4 adults and we had plenty of room. Neighborhood very quiet. Helena is a great host.
This accommodation was everything we wanted and needed. The location was perfect for us. Bus transportation was just steps away. With windows on two sides we enjoyed Geneva’s fresh air both day and night. The location is incredibly quiet. There is no problem sleeping with windows open. We may very well return to Geneva in the future and would likely stay here again if Helena will have us.
We arrived from the USA early in the morning. Our check-in time was 1600 but since there was no one staying in the apartment before us Helena allowed my wife & I to check-in earlier. We appreciated this very much.
We enjoyed 5 days in the apartment. Everything exact as stated on VRBO. Communicating with the owner was easy. The concierge Mr Santos was extremely helpful with a personal medical issue.Merci Mr.Santos..made the visit more enjoyable. We are walkers and the walk to the lake was easy.
In terms of size and general comfort, this is an impressive studio apartment. The apartment is generally well equipped and with a compact but functional kitchen; is set well back from Route De Malagnou and therefore quiet; and has a lovely balcony. The public transport links are excellent and the apartment is within easy walking distance from major supermarkets.
The apartment did get a bit warm during the recent spell of hot weather in Geneva, so a fan would have been a nice (and cheap) inclusion.
That said, the only significant demerit of the apartment is that the washing machine listed in the inclusions is not in fact in the apartment. Rather, there is a laundry room in the building and to use the washing machine you need to get in touch with the (very nice) concierge every time you want to use it. Notably, there is, what for us, was a totally redundant bidet in the bathroom. Were this to be replaced with a washing machine, I would then consider the apartment to be outstanding.

Geneva hit 90 degrees each of the five early September days we visited. The afternoon my husband and I arrived, the apartment was unbearably hot. Of course, there was no air-conditioning, but we expected at least a fan, so we wrote immediately about the need for one.
The host's responses to our repeated requests were ridiculous: it was cool last week; just open the windows; maybe the concierge can find you an old one and bring it to you (he never did); buy your own fan; fans don't help anyway.
Blinds down and windows open, we suffered through three hot sweaty nights filled with the noise of traffic, ambulances, dogs, etc.
Host finally brought a fan by on day 4 after she returned from her holiday abroad. With it, the last two nights were comfortable enough to sleep. It would have been so easy to make our entire stay more enjoyable.
We requested recompense, but did not get it. Her excuse was that there was no way she could have known it was going to be hot. This is unacceptable since Geneva had already had record summer heat, and, in previous reviews, guests had suggested the need for the fan we had to beg for.
This is a quite adequate apartment located very close to public transportation in a safe neighborhood, although walking to many places, including the historic areas of Geneva, is perfectly possible. Two groceries and a wonderful patisserie are only about five minutes walk away if you turn to your right leaving the building. It should be noted that entry is at the back end of the building, a fact not immediately apparent as you approach along the Rue Malagnou.
Information and instructions are always a very good thing to have for visitors to a new apartment, but there were none here. Although we were ultimately able to familiarize ourselves with how things worked both in the apartment and in the building, the advantage of knowing this from the very beginning is obvious.
The door lock can be a bit tricky. First of all, there are three possible places to insert the key, so you have to figure out which one to use. The mechanism itself is a little balky, but if you pull gently towards you when locking or unlocking the door, things are a bit easier. Also be careful to align the key in a perfectly vertical position when removing it from the lock – if it’s even slightly off the vertical, it will not release from the lock mechanism.
Shades can be lowered or raised using the hand cranks in each corner of the room, but on warm nights you’ll have to decide if you want darkness or air since the fully deployed shades make opening the windows useless. There is no fan available, and, as is true in much of Europe at the moment, no air conditioning.
You will, at times, hear the upstairs neighbors. Rue Malagnou is a very busy street. Traffic sounds will decrease for most of the night but pick up again significantly starting around 5 AM.
The furnishings are good, the bed comfortable, and there’s plenty of closet space. Both the kitchen and bathroom are adequately equipped.
We did not receive the Geneva Transport cards which would have allowed free access to public transportation, although it was our understanding that short-term renters are supposed to automatically be provided with them.
