I’ll start with the positives. Nothing leaked during our stay. There was plenty of seating for our family of eight in both the living room and at the dining table. We always had hot water. On our first night, we saw bears playing nearby, which was really neat. The hot tub was wonderful.Unfortunately, there were many issues. There is a very strong sewer smell, making it impossible to leave the front door or sliding doors open. The bedroom with the balcony appears to have something living in the wall; we were woken multiple times each night by scurrying noises. Cobwebs were also present in that bedroom.Both deck floors need refinishing, and the main floor deck railing needs attention. The rocking chairs are molding. A grill is listed as an amenity, but there was no usable grill, and the grill scraper/cleaner and ash scooper were left in the grass. There were no potholders for the oven, and while a mixer was provided, it had no beaters.The upstairs sink would not drain, and my husband had to clean it out himself. We could not play pool because only one cue had a usable tip. Ping pong was playable, but the paddles need replacement. Heat on the main level did not work properly until vents elsewhere were closed. When closing the vent over the dining table, black debris came out, suggesting the vents need cleaning. The floors also creak excessively.Overall, the cabin has potential but needs maintenance and care.
