We spent the first day and a half of our stay, cleaning the place. It is clear that this property has not been inspected or maintained for cleanliness in a long time. «Our family had an amazing stay at this lake house. We visit Lake Gaston several times a year, and this was truly one of the best homes we’ve stayed in. The house was beautiful, fully equipped, and comfortably accommodated our multigenerational family of ten. We absolutely loved the pool and hot tub — they were highlights of our stay. «We communicated specifics with the owner, so won't go into full details. The location is great, but that doesn't overcome that it was uncomfortably dirty in many ways. AC went out, so with temps in the 90s the inside was a balmy 82...all night and no way to open the windows. The bottom line is, with this booking there was a higher than normal cleaning fee.
