«Everything was as described. Very spacious and well maintained; however, the response time was pretty limited which added unnecessary stress that could have been solved with a quick message. Anyways, all is good, but work on your response time, and you’ll get 5 stars all the time.»

«Tracy, the owner met us when we arrived and was very polite and friendly. Our room was clean and had everything you would need with lots of towels, soap, shampoo, fridge and a/c. Daljit was our housekeeper and she was very friendly and helpful. We got to see 4 other rooms and all were very clean and bright. This is an old building and this shows in the character however the price was very reasonable and clean. My husband and I would definitely stay here again!»

«Excellent hostess Lili - a wonderful Soul. The breakfasts provided delicious. The Davis Brook Retreat such a serene place for rejuvenation. We spent majority of our time on chaise lounges in the back yard listening to the song birds and wind chimes. A wee disappointment was the pool not really heated. Nowhere in website did it say pool not heated. Managed to get into pool once but not for long - rather cold. Did use hot tub once also. Overall a lovely stay. Will go again.»

«Clean, modern room and bathroom. Really nice new shower. Excellent central location, with the beach around the corner. It would have been great if the room had an electric kettle for tea but it just had a coffee maker with 2 coffee pods provided.»

«Do not stay here if you have a vehicle, it advertises street parking but neglects to tell you that a local bylaw states no parking between 0300-0700 hrs. They want you to park over two blocks away in an unprotected parking area.»

«The room rent was value for money. There was no staff at the reception during my entire stay, checking in was pretty tedious. They send a code in the email. No reply to calls or messages. Breakfast was good»

«There was nowhere to hang clothes in the main room or in the bathroom. No hangers. The water spout in the sink - if not turned on very much, water leaked all over the counter. If turned on too much, water shot straight out over the sink and onto your clothes. Could not figure out the overhead shower and hand held shot straight out. The shower floor was too slippery. The air conditioner was extremely noisy. Had to turn it off and keep the window wide open all night with the shade partly up to ...
