This was our third time staying here, and it’s always a great experience. Judy is a wonderful host—she’s attentive, responds quickly, and makes sure all your needs are met. The place is perfect for families. We’ll definitely be back!

Great stay in a very comfortable home! We enjoyed spending time together cooking, eating, and playing games, and it was the perfect spot for our day trips to Fredericksburg, Luckenbach, Johnson City, and San Antonio. My teenagers loved the garage game room and spreading out up stairs with the pool table and chess board, and my parents loved the master suite.If arriving in the dark, just know the entry from the road is not lighted, so be mindful of that. Also, the entry instructions might be slightly out of date. We never found physical keys as the instructions suggested, everything was keyless, but the codes worked great for accessing the home, and it was easy to lock up on our way out. In true Texas-fashion, we needed to use both the AC and the heat during our stay, and the climate systems were very easy to operate in both settings, and kept us comfortable throughout our visit. Would recommend to anyone interested in visiting both San Antonio and other Hill Country destinations!

The house was very nice! Please make sure you are trying to find it in the daylight and don’t turn on Green Cedar! The pool filter was not running and it was quite dirty. I turned on the filter and spent hours trying to clean it to no avail. We throughly enjoyed the game garage-tons of fun!

Beautiful property, loved the landscaping, lovely home, lots of games (outside and/or in garage) to keep the young ones entertained. This property is not conducive to anyone with mobility issues (wheel chair, crutches, the elderly); the downstairs has many split-levels. Stepup from livingroom to washroom/bathroom, stepup from kitchen to dining room, stepup from dining room to foyer, stepup from foyer to half bath/masterbedroom. Wished we would have known this before booking. Had we known this, we would not have rented this property.

Lovely Home

This was a lovely home to stay in. There was plenty of space for a large group and we were very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking and serving food at home. The indoor and outdoor space (pool included) was very clean and well decorated, with nice artwork throughout as well. I would recommend staying here!

Fantastic Entertainment House

My family and my sister's family had a blast staying at this house with all the amazing entertainment. Our boys ages 13, 12, and 10 learned to dive in the deep pool and thoroughly enjoyed playing billiards upstairs and foosball, shuffleboard, table tennis, air hockey, basketball, plastic ax throwing, etc. in the garage. There was never a boring moment with the plethora of activities available. We may very well try to stay here again. Thanks for sharing the lovely home with us!

Boerne or Bust

We flew out from WA state to meet my family in Texas at the stone house. It was more than perfect. Plenty of room, plenty of fun, and plenty of shade from the sun. Game room and pool were amazing, plenty of cooking space and all the utensils we needed. Property owner called to check in twice…the personal touch was great. This is a 5 star location through and through. Thank you stone house for all the great memories.

This was a wonderful place for our family to relax and reconnect. The cousins spent their days at the pool and evenings in the game room. In truth, we all loved the pool and game room!! The kitchen was large and had every thing you could need to cook for a crowd. It was a lovely home with plenty of room for our extended family. We are already talking about going back next year and building in a day or two to tour Boerne.

Grooms Family Stay

5 Stars! My son married the love of his life, right down the road, and this was the perfect spot for our family! We loved the game room, pool and backyard, as options to wind down! The master suite was perfect for him to dress, and we even had the photographer come and take some pictures. It was the PERFECT setting! We hope to be repeat customers!

THE FABULOUS STONE HOUSE

No matter what age you are, The Stone House WILL Accommodate ALL! If you are visiting any of the San Antonio City Treats…Book The Stone House. Quick access to the City without traffic headaches…that is until you get in the city. I want to thank our Host for allow for the best Final Four Trip in our 10 yr run!!

Hill Country central location

This hilltop "mini resort" was perfect for our family.It's about midway between Fredericksburg and San Antonio and just minutes from old town Boerne and the Joshua Nature Preserve for its trails. The Cascade Caverns and No Name cave are also nearby.The views of the distant hills were relaxing and even though I-10 is "right there", the occasional traffic sounds were a non issue inside or out.We used all 4 bedrooms (the laundry room-shower bath worked just fine for the bonus 1st first floor bedroom). The primary suite, also on the first floor, is virtually an apartment. Being positioned far from the other bedrooms and family areas, it made a perfect retreat at the end of the day.In addition to the family room-billiards room upstairs (with 2 more bedrooms and bathrooms) the garage has many game options.The beautiful-gated pool provided another entertainment option. We also put to use the covered patio-dining area with grill.The kitchen is fully stocked. There were plenty of towels and other bathroom needs, and house was clean as can be.We can't say enough good things about this house, its location, and the owner-landlord.As they say, "Try it, you'll be glad you did!"Jim

The family of 7adults and two teens enjoyed the stay

The property is very close to I10 East lanes. In Texas I10 is loud. The truck traffic is distracting when enjoying the enormus yard, grill and firepit. Due to the burn ban we couldn't use the firepit but there was an abundant supply of wood in case you get a chance.

peaceful retreat for family

Beautiful house and grounds! Convenient location as well for my group (mom/aunt/grandmother) as we split our time on trip between Kerrville, Boerne, and Comfort. We loved getting in the pool after "long" days of shopping/walking. House was spacious and gave us all lots of personal space to wind down after being in the car together all day. Easy instructions to find and super communicative host!

Fun family time in Boerne

This is a unique property, unlike any other, you will find. There is obviously a history to this house and I wish I knew it. The huge fenced yard was perfect for our tiny dog in the pool was deep and refreshing. Everyone had plenty of room and the games available Are endless. Loved working in the kitchen and sharing meals in the dining room.

Great Getaway

This place was amazing and just as advertised. A short drive into San Antonio and definitely felt secluted, even though 1-10 is near by. This place has everything you need! From the very easy checkin process to the instructions on how to operate around the house, we loved every minute we were here. The master bed and bathroom is amazing, one of the softest mattresses I’ve slept on and the bathroom was modern and perfect. The game room makes this house, what a great touch. This will be my go to every time I’m in the San Antonio area.

Great location & lots to entertain

We recently stayed here and the house has a lot of amenities to entertain everyone. The pool was lovely and the game room and pool table were hits. One thing that needs to be noted is that the first level is actually SPLIT LEVEL and has lots of steps, which was problematic as my sister-in-law had a really hard time moving about the first floor since she is currently in a cast and on a knee scooter.

What a Great House!

We stayed at this wonderful property for an annual friends trip. There were 4 couples of 60+ adults. However, I could see this being a fun place for families with kids as well. There was a super cute nursery with a crib attached to the master bedroom. The house had everything we needed and more! It was clean and very well stocked with anything we could need. Plenty of towels, which is not always the case in rental properties, but very much appreciated! The game room and pool added many hours of entertainment for our group. I highly recommend this property!

Enjoyable long weekend

We stayed with friends (8 total) and had a great time. Kids loved the game room and it provided entertainment for hours. The pool was lovely and clean and enjoyable as well. Highway noise is present but was not a terrible distraction. Plus the master included a white noise machine which was nice. Enjoyable stay for all.
