«Andrew is a fabulous host and couldn't do enough for us to ensure that we had a great stay. The lodge is comfortable, with many amenities offered to us so we didn't have to sit around in our rooms. The breakfast and the cappuccinos - excellent!»

«Wir hatten ein paar wunderschöne Tage. Der Ausblick ist unglaublich und das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns gefühlt wie zu Hause - nur viel schöner. Wir haben abends immer vor Ort gegessen. Das essen war sehr lecker und ein super Ausgleich zu den fine dining Optionen die es sonst in der Umgebung gibt. Wir hatten immer einen frischen Salat aus dem eigenen Garten der Farm zudem hatten wir unterschiedliche Gerichte wie eine Lasagne mit pulled beef, eine Spinat Ricotta Lasagne und Cicken ...

«A true gem. This is my new go-to place for the first (and second) night in Cape Town. Most international flights arrive in the early morning and commercial downtown hotels do not let you check in before 3 pm. Most of us are exhausted. So make your way to Franschhoek against traffic and stop at some wineries on the way. Then rest at La Fontaine. Many fine restaurants within 0.5 miles. Lovely breakfast and exceptional service.»

The breakfast was really good and offered us a big variety. The room and bathroom was clean and pretty. There are enough parking spots. We would definitely come back when we are in Franschhoek.»

«Nuwerus was one of the "fortunate" yet "unfortunate" places in Paarl that was "hit" hard with the recent fires. It was so close to the main buildings that I can only descibe it as hair-raising. Yet although you can see the fire damage to the gardens etc the service was once again spot-on and the facilities as clean and well appointed as we are used to. The owners really does care about the customers as well as the property. Well done is all I can say. Already booked my next stay.»

«We had 2 great days at this beautiful vineyard. Fantastic beautiful location with historic old buildings in prestine condition just on the sloop of the tall blue surrounding mountains. The whole area was lkike a beautifful garden. Great staff. Many free range ducks, geese and turkies on watch outside during night. There are also African buffalo's inside a big fenced area. »

«Sehr schönes Haus, altmodisch, im Stil von 1850. Sehr nettes Personal. Unser Zimmer ging war eine Maisonette. Unten Küche mit allem was man braucht, vor der Tür ein kleiner Pool. Im Obergeschoss Schlafzimmer und Bad. Leider keine Dusche zum inndie Hand nehmen. Regendusche und für die Badewanne kam das Wasser ungewöhnlich aus der Decke.»

«We chose the Champagne Apartment and it was perfect for our needs. Plenty of room, everything you could possibly need and well considered amenities. Lynn and Mick were very kind hosts inviting us for Happy Hour drinks after a well needed swim in the pool on a very hot day. It was a very short walk into town and very quiet, safe and restful.»

«Recently returned from a 3 night stay at these apartments and we had a great stay in apartment 6. It was modern, clean and bang in the centre of Franschhoek town. The check in was the quickest ever and room was ready for us despite arriving early. The facilities were great and bed comfy - didn’t want to leave the place and wouldn’t hesitate to book when visiting again 😀 »
