At Destin West, you can enjoy extreme water fun in the 5000-square-foot pool with a kiddie area, a 700-foot Lazy River, a heated pool with a waterfall, or one of two hot tubs. The Heron building boasts its own bayside pool that is heated year-round! Enjoy your view of the Choctawhatchee Bay, while the kids enjoy the lazy river. Cross over the sky bridge to the Gulf beaches without worrying about traffic. The beachside also has a state-of-the-art fitness center right on the beach. Charcoal grills and picnic tables on both the bayside and beachside make grilling out inviting and fun. As a guest at Destin West, you can enjoy access to the pools, bars, and restaurants located at the Island Beach Resort at Destin West beachside.

Easy check in and out. Beautiful view from the balcony. Easy access to beach, lazy river, pool and hot tub. Condo had an assortment of beach toys that we were able to borrow. That was a nice surprise:)

Stressfull

We did not have the use of the washing machine. The master bedroom TV did t work for 3 days. You had to struggle to open the sliding door. The master bathroom had mold on the vent and shower door. It was stressful having to call Realjoy daily to get updates on things being fixed and twice we were promised return calls that we never received. I would never recommend this condo to anyone.

Spacious 6th floor condo with beautiful southwest view of the gulf and a three minute elevator walk to the beach. Easy check in, easy check out. Kitchen met expectations. Beds met expectations. Furnishings met expectations. Communication with management company met expectations. Property beginning to show some wear. Overall experience met expectations.

Beach get away

Beautiful area and spot. However wasn’t too happy about the lack there of beach items. (there was 1 adult chair and a broken umbrella) For people traveling on a plane obviously chairs wouldn’t be an item we would pack and the chairs on the premises you had to rent for $45 a day! It’s a beach vacation some basic beach items should be provided for the price payed. Also the iron was broken which was very annoying as it leaked everywhere.The TV was extremely glitchy and was going in and out of service for the last couple of days as well. We needed to have a repair man come out in addition to several calls put into management before hand regarding this issue. I know it sounds like a lot of complaints but other then that it was a nice spot! But seriously buy some chairs an umbrella, a new iron, better TV service and all will be perfect!

worked for a girls trip, but...

Carpet needs to go and it needs a good cleaning. Pots and pans need an upgrade. It was okay, but would NOT stay there again. Property, beach and pool were awesome. Unit needs a facelift and some attention. As I mentioned, carpet needs to go - tile needs steam cleaned. Replace mattresses and remove dresser from the closet. Can't put clothes in there with a huge dresser taking up all that room.

We really enjoyed the location of this property and the amenities. We were not impressed with the cleanliness of the unit. Needs a good dusting. The carpeting should be replaced or cleaned as it was pretty dirty. The front door was awful to open and close as was the back sliding door. We enjoyed the property and would book at the same property, but most likely a different unit.

Ladies getaway

Great unit. Had some problems with patio doors sticking, but with a little maintenance on the door track, door worked good. AC worked good and plenty of towels to use. There were a beach cart and toys in the closets to use. The unit even came with two reserved beach chairs and umbrella daily. Unit had a washer and dryer which was handy. Overall, unit was clean and kitchen was well stocked. View and location was awesome. There were restaurants within walking distance. But even better, Doordash will deliver your groceries to you, so no need to waste your vacation time in the grocery store. Definitely will rent again..

Beautiful Location

I’ve stayed a lot of places in Florida. First of all, Okaloosa Island is the most beautiful sand and water I have seen in the state. The view from the balcony was stunning. The fact that they were two master bedrooms accommodated, both my husband and my daughter and her husband. This condo had everything we needed. Bill was great to deal with in every sense. The check in process was simple. The condo had a wagon for the beach which made things so easy. Our family loved everything about this stay. We hope to return.

Great Location/Beautiful views

The condo is in a great location, located near the pier and restaurants. Just a short drive into Destin for additional food options. Great view of the ocean and overlooks the main pool as described. The kids loved all the different pool options the resort offers. Bill provided very detailed instructions for check in and departure and was quick to respond to our questions during our stay. The interior of the condo is starting to look a bit tired. Fresh paint, an easier sliding door to open, and replacing the little bit of carpet in the condo would go a long way to make it feel more like a home away from home. None of these impacted our stay just recommendations to improve.
